Why can't we transfer ownership to housing tenants?

I've been heavily thinking about calling it quits for sometime now but due to the fact I share a personal house with 2 of my friends who want to keep playing I'm forced to log in and reset the timer, my overall time spent on the game within the past week has not even eclipsed 30 minutes total. I log in rest the timer log out and go log time into new games and even revisit older ones, I don't want to have my friends lose our house because of my personal burnout, but I also don't want to fork over any more money until I get that spark reignited. Is there anything I can do? I know I can demolish the house and they can buy the plot, but that is doing way to much just to transfer ownership to someone who is already sharing privileges.

I can see a few reasons why it is not possible, but the main reason is that it would make buying and selling houses easier. I am sorry, but we can't have nice things because of people like that.

Give it a bit, new housing patch is like in what, a couple weeks right?

New wards, the hotel system thing mentioned in live letter.... and the transfer house feature? I am not sure but they did mention some kind of transfer feature to move your house. I kind of doubt it would let you pass ownership but maybe. I imagine since they added the resident system that maybe your idea might be a logical upgrade to it... I know they said it would just let you move where your house is located without losing important things (like airship, breakables... maybe housing exterior?).

It's just so insane after 2 years the only thing I'm worried about is how can I manage this without messing this up for my friends. It's mind boggling really, as a FC leader you can transfer ownership and walk away and the newly appointed leader is the one who just shoulder the burden of the plot. But privately shared estates can't? I don't wanna log into our psn parties one day and be like "Hey guys have fun being homeless now!" I may have gamed with these people for 6 years but I don't think they would be happy with that lol.
