I salute your courage to speak for all, I however am of a different opinion. I will say i did not want DRK as a tank, when it came to pass i felt a lot of apprehension about it. I never once thought Tanking was boring however, on the contrary i think it's the most important job to have. To set the pace, Often not fast enough for some or to fast for others, to know mechanics and keep hate, often failing due to the gap in gear levels or heaven forbid your own lack of skill.
I still don't like tanking but i am still trying, im not very good but im trying to get better, it is a beast and attempting to "git gud!" can be more than frustrating.

you can add 10 new tank jobs tomorrow the DF queue will still lack tank, people want big number and have nothing to worry about doing bad... since most of the time if something goes bad is either the healer or the tank fault.

Ahhh, that old-ass reason.
I would like to point out that this argument is a generalization and is probably wrong for most dpsers. I'm willing to bet it is NOT why most people play dps. I personally like to play dps because I don't know ALL the fights in ALL the dungeons/trials/raids/whatever to confidently roll up into the fight with people that DO know them.
Sorry, but I rarely see my numbers. I have my eyes on other shit.
You literally supported her argument..."and having nothing to worry about doing bad...since most of the time if something goes bad it is either the healer or TANK fault."
You just said you don't play tank because you don't want to make a mistake and get blamed.

The more tank jobs doesn't necessarily mean the more people tanking. You'll see more people on the job for the first couple of months, then they'll go back to whatever they enjoy doing. Happened with tank knig... Dark knight, will happen with whatever comes next.
I started playing warrior from the beginning with the idea to change into a dark knight once i had unlocked it, after trying drk I didn't like it but it got me to try tanking and I stuck with it as a warrior.
