Except when heavensward launched tank queues were not instant, so what you said is blatantly untrue. You're also deliberately ignoring the numerous other benefits I've spelled out multiple times.
When Heavensward launched. A couple weeks later queues were the same. If SAM could permanently affect queues I could see an argument. DRK fixed nothing for this game's tank problems.
He's listed a whole lot more points then that, and to be honest I haven't seen MUCH mention of the queue times of the people debating actively. All I see are DPS players claiming we've said that..? I mentioned as well, do people seriously think SE make jobs to change the queue times? Jobs are made to add more flavour to the game and variety on top of balancing other jobs, like hopefully WAR gets balanced by another tank with a slashing debuff...
Edit: If Yoshi P really uttered those words and people can provide a source, then I'm obviously wrong. That doesn't change my opinion on it being dumb that jobs are added to the game with queue times in consideration, jobs should be made with raids in consideration and that's what annoyed me about some of DRK's toolkit, with the Blind/DA Dark Dance dungeon CD combination for example, and its counter productive play with Blind and Blood Price. But that's another topic.

His other points are just as superficial as the dps points. And most of his points are against RDM not being a tank. He's listed a whole lot more points then that, and to be honest I haven't seen MUCH mention of the queue times of the people debating actively. He comes up with valid points... imo, although as I've stated before, idm SAM or RDM being a tank, as their both really interesting concepts to me, it does however make more sense for SAM to be a tank, again this is just my opinion. All I care for is a tank with a slashing debuff for reasons I'm sure people know.
Edit: Trying to keep a middle ground is hard, but both sides aren't entirely wrong. What annoys me about this thread is people saying we don't need anymore tanks... I'm sorry but I'm getting so brain dead playing the same tank for almost 3 years. We need a new OT tank and I feel SAM and/or RDM can fulfil this. To outright say we don't need anymore tanks is like saying "Idc for the tank population"

True. But I wouldn't worry (in fact, I don't) to try to elaborate to someone so petty and with such an attitude if I were you. I stopped giving an eff about him. Let him ride his high horse.
Funny how he wants everyone to elaborate then regards such elaborations as "silly", especially when the "freedom to be any job by gearing them exactly the same" was spouted out of his mouth. I actually love him quoting me, makes me laugh![]()

Been a while, but doesn't WAR have a slashing debuff? He comes up with valid points... imo, although as I've stated before, idm SAM or RDM being a tank, as their both really interesting concepts to me, it does however make more sense for SAM to be a tank, again this is just my opinion. The only tank that does and they all deal slashing damage
Read my edit. What I'm trying to get at is WAR is an essential tank to have in a raid composition, this is obviously a balancing flaw. Same goes for SCH. While WAR's have been stuck on WAR, PLD's have had the luxury of switching between PLD/DRK in raids with no detriment.
Can't edit on phone. I actually don't think we need more tanks. Their team can't even get the tanks we do have right outside of WAR. I think we need more tanks because tank players deserve more variety.
