On Topic: I think Jazz is right. There's probably not a big enough pool of players queueing to do a +1/-1 rank match. Rank heavily scales with games played (not like League where if you're on a streak early in the season you'll get 40+ elo a match). So there's just not enough people in the higher tiers yet. I do generally think that unrankeds should only play with unrankeds. There's a massive skill drop in that part of the bracket.

It's self-defeating, though: Matchmaking being +2/-2 is the best reason to not be playing right now. If you're Silver or Gold, and you're being asked to Harrison Bergeron yourself some literal IRL vegetables, you're not going to have fun at all.

They should let the #1's from each data center fight each other tournament style at the end of season to decide world champion :P

+2/-2 would be fine if "wood" tier players were excluded. People interested in competing seriously in PvP can easily work their way to Bronze.

Of course, Season 2 being sectioned off by regions would be a huge improvement. It actually may be possible as it seems they are looking into setting up cross realm group finder.
