One thing should be added that may not be obvious to people...
A lot of the gear that is being added in patches may have been designed and finished many months ago... Meaning what you see being added as genderlocked in one patch right after they talked about reducing that, was made before that was said...

I support keeping genderlocked sets btw. Maybe it can be reduced, but I care a lot about being able to see if a character is male of female based on which gearset they're using.
Genderlocked gear sets should have the other gender equivalent though, so that equal amounts of gear is added.

Inclusion and diversity are great things. Being a supporter to defend people that might feel they are under represented is great too.

Maybe someone can explain to me though... This game, you can play as any gender you want. But specifically people want to cross dress. Are those the people that are campaigning for this? Having experienced WoW and other MMOs that have completely gender unlocked clothes... It seemed trolls always outnumbered the actual people wanting to cross dress as something they identified with. And people like to do unusual things for attention is a method to troll. Doing something "not allowed" is one way to do that. Maybe it would be a non-issue if they were just unlocked at the start. I guess I just seem to see the gender locked clothing come up a lot, and it just seems larger than the group who might actually "care" about doing it.

I fully support the people that want to dress that way because that's how they identify. However, are they going to get what they want once it's unlocked? It kind of loses it's value if people are doing it to troll everyone and I just am concerned it could cause worry for people actually wanting to just dress up how they want. I personally think the concept that fashion can be "male" or "female" is kind of silly... as they are just clothes.... I mean, sure underwear benefits from um...different pockets and pouches that correspond to biology but beyond that of course.

If it does all get unlocked, I just hope its for the people that want it for style and not trolling. As long as it doesn't turn into a new way of harassment for the people that actually care about it, then great.

Those almost unbelievable jok style swimsuits men got the first year are bad enough. Just what I need is a bunch of pink haired male cats running around in the antecedent attire or fishnet leggings with bunny ears and bustier. I realize this game has a huge homosexual/transgender community and I'm all for your rights but if you want womens clothes so badly maybe play a female character? I do and I'm a straight male.

I'm a male playing as a female-character but I find the whole "If you want to wear these items, switch character genders" argument really weak.
Maybe the people who are advocating this don't view the items as Male vs Female cloths but as just cloths.
Additionally, Gender-Identification is not a simple yes-or-no-check-which-box-you-are-thing. There are those who associate with both genders, those who associate with neither gender, those who associate with one gender but follow the norms of the other, those who switch between the two, etc etc.
Saying that you "support" LGBT while also say that you don't want to see "men" in skirts and bikinis doesn't make you any less transphobic or bias... :/

And maybe a player don't want to look at some boobs and flat Ass and prefer the large shoulder of a male aora or the round butt of a male miqote

Like said before either there is a double gender lock or no lock at all.
Seeing girl wearing either the wedding dress or wedding smoking is infuriating for a mâle miqote who has to wear only one.

I recently got some of the gender free boots that were for female only... And they are fabulous on my healer

female characters cannot wear the male wedding clothes. The groomsman clothes yes but not the eternal bonding clothing.
