Since many people I know in person and on other sites are rather frustrated by the sex based clothing restrictions in game I have decided to create the official *CROSSDRESSING OR RIOT* thread

There have been many complaints and suggestions in the past to allow males and females to have interchangeable clothing and hairstyles to the point where people have used what they can to get around the restriction

So I and hopefully others will join in this thread to officially remove the clothing restrictions placed on our characters and if you can, post images of your characters or others doing so



and as always (the riot part is a joke for those without humor)

They brought this up at the PAX East panel. They said they are looking at making sets cross gender but it will have to be done over time as its takes quite a bit of time to adapt the models.

Sorry, but this is something that's been requested since the Spring Skirt came out. Sure, they may have given us the Plain Skirt, but what was so hard about changing a toggle on the Spring Skirt to make it unisex if they made another skirt that looks, and wears, just like it? I support this thread. Not because I want some of the male clothes (though, why are they still making gender-locked clothes at all? Looking at you highborn attire and dodore armor), but because... I want their hair. Those flowing manes... so unfair.

It isn't a toggle. Models are individually adapted for each race and gender. To add a spring skirt, while probably not hard, they will have to create a new model for it for the male versions even if all it entails is copying an existing model and giving it a new skin.

Actually most people at PAX were asking for the Bunny outfit from the GS which would require quite a lot of adjustment in its model to fit the male models. Regardless they said they don't want to do it at the cost of making new things so it will be done progressively. With Hair, again they said their focus is adding new hair styles though they will consider introducing older styles to models that don't have them over time. That I think was answered in another thread.

If they made everything available for everyone from the start that would have been peachy, but we can't have it all. I'm happy to wait so long as they do know it is an issue a lot of us would like to have corrected.

Not only did they mention it today at PAX East, but they asked for a single thread about a list of items to consider.
