Any word on inventory expansion?

I am very glad they are working on it. Storage is a huge issue for me.
Extra retainers seem the easiest route to go and I'd certainly welcome having a third one for free, wasn't there some talk of us getting one with H/W?
More and/or larger tabs in the FC chest would be nice, too.

The way currencies and tokens work make the problem even worse, so many different types that all have to go into your inventory. That's another thing that could do with an overhaul.

I'd personally like to see the issue of glamour and saved sets addressed relative to inventory. The problem with having to have items in the Armory in order to load a saved set needs to change. Once a glamour is set that glamour or armor set should load regardless of what is in your armory. Anyone with many crafting and war/magic roles leveled has to be frustrated with the current limitations. I know I am.

There's a lot of limitations right now in how they are running inventory space. For one, even though we have a max of 8 characters, we can't really use those other characters for storage because they made it impossible to trade to characters on the same account, so that eliminates the alt storage that makes other games inventory livable. Here, we are forced into using an adhoc system that basically is like buying an additional character slot, only it only holds inventory and we are renting it on a per month basis. They really should just let us pay a full sub, say how many character slots vs additional retainers we want (for a single character), and if we need more past that point, THEN do the rental. I would totally take 4 character slots and 4 additional retainers, or just have my two characters and several retainers, over having to pay for a service that is only being required because of restrictions they put in place.

Also, they need to make it so the chest that holds armor pieces in the Inn can hold any kind of dungeon bound armor and let people glamour from that chest directly so they don't need to run back and check out the armor. That would eliminate about 60-70% of inventory woes right out the gate next to a dedicated crafting materials box like they have in World of Warcraft.

The inventory in this game always seems to be a conversation piece that comes up when I'm with my friends I used to play with.

Just got back to playing the game again after being gone for a while, but the first thing I've ended up having to do is work on inventory clean up so I'm not paying for a third retainer every month. I know a while back there was some talk about trying to find ways to expand the inventory system, but I haven't seen anything since then and I've been absent from the forums for a while.

SE dont agree. Sadly people are more than willing to pay extra it means SE dont have to worry about it.

I'd be willing to buy extra retainers if they were a one time purchase. To me that's enhancing the value of my account. But paying monthly to basically rent extra retainers? Yea no... they can go pound salt with that.
