A quick rundown of reasonable improvements for FFXIV

Nameplates:
Currently we have alliance, party, friends and everyone else etc.
It would be amazing if there was a FC option as well.
So you could select a colour for your FC nameplates and essentially only have friends and FC member name plates visible.

Hairstyle Asset quality:
A lot of the hairstyles added during the A Realm Reborn patches' assets are not as high quality as most of the other hairstyle assets with very visible "pixelation".
The lightning hairstyle in particular is guilty of this it looks like an asset lifted directly out off FFXIII.

Target rings:
Imagine this; you are fighting Odin in the shroud with 50 other people and 30 other DPS close to the target it's near impossible too discern which was the target is facing resulting in absolute annihilation.
To combat this i suggest that you'd have the option to always have the target ring on top or at least have it semi visible.

weapon /pose:
Was a little disappointed to find that the weapon poses are gender locked i would love for my female Lalafell DRG/DRK to be able to use the "cooler" male poses.

BGM on/off keyboard shourtcut
I absolutely adore the FFXIV soundtrack, however; i also love listening to other music when doing a dungeon/raid/trial for the [high number]the time.
It would be amazing if there was a shortcut and/or it was macroable where you could easily turn off BGM.
As of now i have the "sound settings" shortcut on my hotbars, that's a lot of clicks to turn off BGM and it would be so much easier if i didn't have to click as much
