I both love and hate level sync.

While at the heart of it I think its a great feature. It keeps low level dungeons relevant with the roulette so that new players will always be able to get a queue to progress their main quest mission and lets you do dungeons with friends regardless of your level.

That said, I hate it because it removes abilities and it reminds you of how incredibly dull and boring the low level content is. The dungeons have almost zero mechanics to get past the dullness and prior to 30 is the worst for skills as its basically pressing 1-2 skills over and over again which practically puts me to sleep because trash mobs in this games dungeons have too much damn health.

I would love to see level sync in this game be more like swtor of GW2. Your level and stats are lowered, but you keep all your abilities. Its pretty jarring leveling up and then doing leveling roulette and to get one of the first 3 dungeons and your entire bar is grayed out and you're stuck spamming 1-2 skills....

SCH/SMN would absolutely destroy low level content with Bane. Lowbie tanks wouldn't stand a chance.

Stats aren't the only thing that makes players more powerful the higher their level. We also gain abilities which would be completely overpowered at low levels because low level combat isn't designed around having those tools. Equilibrium and Fell Cleave would be absurd in Halatali. So would full AST cards, Collective Unconscious, Holy, Deathflare, full set of tank cooldowns and Assize. It would be very unpractical to try and balance synched players of all levels with players who are just leveled enough to enter the instance.

Well you're still learning in under 30 instances. What would you prefer? Midas savage mechanics implemented into sastasha?

While I, too, often become bored when doing low-level instances, it really is important, for the reasons folks have already listed above. Newbies need to train into their roles. Tanks need to learn how enmity works, and that's not gonna happen if nothing they can possibly do will keep enmity off the DPS spamming Deathflare and Fire IV. Healers need to learn that they're actually necessary for keeping the tank alive, which won't happen if the tank is rotating a full complement of cooldowns and Stoneskinning themselves.

Presumably, if you're doing low-level instances on a high-level job, you're doing it to earn tomestones, or something along those lines. Take comfort in the fact that, at least, you're being paid for your drudgery!

The thing here is, they have plenty.
They just aren't as devastating as savage content where one slip up results in total party wipe. And in some cases you can burn through them.
There are actually mechanics to the bosses, sometimes the trash mobs too. Be it directly related to the bosses, their adds, the environment, you name it. If you pay attention it's can be quite interesting. But generally, having experienced it enough times many smash through it without batting an eye.
