Anima Prediction: How we will customise stats

IIRC, the devs confirmed that No materia will be involved. Which might be good for the wallets but this also means that the step is almost unpredictable, almost.

My prediction is that they will add a quest to alter the weapon and that it will go two ways

• "At the Mercy of RNG" Path: In which it will involve grinding light until the Anima weapon radiates with the blinding intensity of a thousand white hot suns. The catch is that we can get from anywhere, even PvP and killing over-world mobs. And that the light will direct add a random stats that will add from a pool that consist of...every materia effect, even the useless ones that add to resistances. Getting the BiS weapon will require a way to see which activity yields which stat for which weapon, which will change every 2 hours. Meaning a High chance to say get Spell Speed on Verethragna from a Roulette, and its always active as long as you have the quest (quitting will reset it) which means people vying for the BiS relic might wanna try getting another Weapon to use for the activites they want to do or risk getting a subpar weapon
• "A Grind as Long as War and Peace" Path: In which we instead go for the return of Books. Or rather a long set of objectives that need to be completed before increasing a stat on the weapon. The Saving grace is that we can choose what stats to use, but each list will require 100 specific mobs, 5 specific dungeons, 2 specific 24 man raid, 5 specific FATEs (which will include new ones on 3 days timers), and 5 specific Levequests (Which will also include the Large ones...and the Crafting ones). The lists will be obtained from The House of Splendors for...2000 Esoterics/Lore (depending on patch). RNG will decide the lists objectives.

Once either step is outta the way we can bring that sucker to Azys Lla and presto. A weapon with customized stats that will likely be obtained just in time for the iLevel raise.


Now lets relax and know that whatever step SE will bring out, it likely won't be as bad as this (or cower in paranoia and fear that might be) :P

And this is exactly why, regardless of the means to obtain it, I'll just take my sweet time. I don't rush the relics anymore. I'd rather just enjoy the ride.

Ha! I didn't mind the books at all, thought was one of the better relic stages. Except the fate camping and the 30 brayflox runs for each book lol

A special scroll + many Alexandrite + many Materias for 2-3 secondary stats from materia I - V and with fail chances

The rng will be not in the choice of the stats, only in the success in putting in the wanted stat.

People, who already complained about the needed gil in the ilevel 210 step, should stop here

It has been observed that the relic quest frequently encourages players to do content that was previously ignored, such as unidentifiable items coming from Gordias and aether oils from the towers quest. So what are people not doing right now?

Well Diadem has been shall i say DEAD. Which is a bummer because Pegasus had awaited me, no he be gone somewhere else tired of waiting for me...
Previous relic atma was the worst, followed by waiting for the darn fates for the book portion. Crafting i really do not know why they added it again tbh, i just hope they have a "fresh" idea, not the same nonsense.
Perhaps we will be required to get dungeon drops again? Sigh

And they just keep that there until the next expansion and change anima to whatever is next...

So this next step? Who knows? Guildhests? Levequests? 5000 Titan SM runs?

As long doesn't use Materia melding again or stupid expensive crafting things is ok. I like something like the Animus books (but without FATEs that take ages to spawn).

You have to choose between differnet book. Each book will give you a determined ammount of an specific stat. For example, for Tanks, you can chose between Parry, Critical hit Rate, Determination, and Skill Speed, and accuracy maybe. THe basic stats, like VIT and STR will be automatically corrsponding the item level als always. We can put every book give you 20 of a single stats, so you can use 6 Determination book for a maximun of 120 Det, but once you reach the cap on a stat, you cannot get more books from that type. This can take some time and people won't be struggling with the stupid high prices from Market board to meld materia and get the perfect relic, (like hapens with the fucking Novus)
