Scholar Lvl 60 quest worst quest ever?

I have done this stupid fight multiple times and failed everytime. I have a big issue with targetting. I set the targetting to friendlies only and I STILL target the mob, wtf?? I use a controller on my pc. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? I've tried just dpsing the boss and killing the adds quickly and failed. I've tried just focusing on leeching the poisons and healing the npcs and still failed. I'm about to give up.

I use the left and right on D-Pad to get to everyone quickly, I did have to adjust my filters and targetting. Damage dealing isn't your major concern. it's using leeches on everyone for everything. They seem to get two debuffs on the NPC, one from the actual boss himself and the other from when the adds come out. I ran out of MP almost because I was taking care of all 3 NPCs

If you've tried just leeching and healing then I'm not sure but I found out it was because there's two debuffs and I was only focusing on one.

Yeah I use my D Pad too and for some reason, even if it's not selected in the targetting settings, I still target the mob and it acts like I locked to him when it's not locked. It won't move to the npcs and I have to manually click with my mouse. It's very annoying. I will try the targetting settings again but it definitely seems like a bug for me. Thanks for your input.

Dps him with your cleric stance from a range so that his targeted aoe won't hit the npcs, and it also helps to set your camera view so that you're looking down at all 3 npcs for easy targeting via mouse. Another thing that worked well for me was to always have all my dots and a bane ready whenever the little adds popped. It killed them instantly and I only had to leeches the npcs once.

I stayed far away from the NPC's, cleric dps'd, and had Eos by the Npc's and used Eos to heal them with Embrace in between applying Dots. Getting the NPC's hit with the Aoe seemed to be causing the wipes.

Ok thanks for the tips guys. I know I was close to them and yes they did get hit by the aoe at times. I will stay farther out and follow your suggestions. I appreciate it!

Yeah I finished this last night and it took a few tries. Basically I had to learn to keep my distance and cycle through the three tanks frequently to leech the debuffs. The ads need to be killed right away, but die quickly with a dot.

As the others said; keep your distance and just leech constantly to make sure non of the timers on any of the npcs (or yourself) reaches max. That includes ALL npcs including the Tonberries that come to help later in the fight.

For some reason when I leech the npc, they don't get cured
