For those who haven't heard, Sony are releasing a new faster model of the PS4 in the near future with a significant boost to performance.

All new games are required to have performance profiles for both the old and new models of PS4, with mandatory native 1080p or higher resolution when running on the new model console.

For games that have already been published, it will be optional if they issue patches to offer a higher performance profile for the new console.

I guess FF XIV falls into that category, but when they publish the game's second expansion, will that technically be considered a new game and subject to the rules that higher performance update be offered?
Looks like console players can look forward to higher framerates, higher number of characters/objects displayed at once, maybe bring across the advanced graphics effects from the DX11 Windows profile?
