But if your justification for not curing pacification off him was because he compared Antitower to A8S (which granted is silly), then your attitude is just as bad as his.

It was a very obnoxious macro going off every 2-3 secs to get pacification off. Sure I will take it off normally if I notice and am not busy at the time (which I was) but if someone has the need to make a macro that is going off every few seconds, including sound effects, I usually ignore them.

I don't mind the kind that goes off once warning it will go off but this? I even warned him I wouldn't ignore the macro, which is when he started making very stupid comments.

Thats a bit more understandable, honestly the berserk macro should be like a notification to say its been turned on and then another message 5 seconds before it wears off a single sound effect and just a message saying pacification debuff is about to be applied. Thats all that is needed tbh.

Having it spammed in your face is just unnecessary and it makes a bad warrior when they do the macro like that >_>

I like the idea of losing their bonus for the day if it's a roulette.
I've seen people get dungeons like Sastasha for their leveling roulette and leave before taking a single step. So if they are too prideful or impatient to spend 20 minutes in a low level dungeon, they don't deserve the tomestone/exp bonus.

In the case that it isn't a roulette, it should stay the way it is. Yeah sure people leave dungeons, but in most cases it doesn't take too long to find a replacement. And not everyone leaves a dungeon for completely selfish reasons. Maybe they have RL emergencies, maybe they have some other priority. Or maybe they can't deal with the party they are in for whatever reason.

This way we at least have a severe, indiscriminate punishment for people that aren't fully committed to the majority of players.

Honestly with how the scaling works, the mobs in Sastasha will die exceedingly fast so there is no reason for anyone to leave, unless of course general life stuff that can't be helped or avoided.

To be honest what I think would solve this is to allow all your abilities to be available but scaled down accordingly, even though technically not available at that level, you've already learnt it and it seems odd like in a PLD's case he forgets how to swipe his shield at an enemy ><

Are people not able to see that a harder punishment will make people just troll more tonget kicked instead of leaving?

Come on people, think about all of the effects a change will have instead of just the ones you want it to. The thirty minute penalty has reduced the amount of people leaving without causing too many issues. It's in a good place.

Honestly, the thirty minute lockout is fine. Getting rid of the daily bonus is stupid and the lockout for 3 hours is long for a 20 minute dungeon.

I had to leave because I got pukey from something I ate ( it was unexpected ) and didn't know when I'd return. I was able to come back in fifteen minutes. 30 minutes is perfectly fine, as it's not too short nor too long.

So people who want to lengthen the penalty can shove it.

You do know there is a tactic where folks will purposefully disconnect so they'd be booted anyway, correct? I hear of people doing that. And what if your group is so bad, that you HAVE to leave instead of prolonging your suffering? To some people, their time in the game is precious. Why should they have to suffer and carry bad players?

I haven't been running roulettes for ages, but thought I'd give it a go for a short bit. Managed two Steps of Faith in that time, and both were surprisingly bad. I had been under the impression that they made it so easy now that wipes were quite challenging to manage, but not so.

I sometimes leeches off pacification - but I've tried to precast it and I guess it is server issues, because it doesn't remove it for me unless the WAR already has it applied. Which means I am giving the WAR 1 (maaaaybe 2) more GCDs at the cost of 1 GCD for myself, so I am not really sure it helps all that much.

That is unfortunate :\ IMO It was fairly easy on release. We wiped two times while we figured it out, and then I wiped once more on another run like a month later, as people were refusing to listen. Other than that, all of my runs have been very smooth/easy.
