WAS? Nay! Before nerf i was a happy owner of a bit higher than 1000 AP with 210 item level.
Now i am 227 and i have 979 AP.

Difference in iLvl is 17 nad difference in DMG output is still visibly lower. at least for dummy striking freak.

Yeah I think my war was around i226 when I got around the same dummy dps (3 mins no food/pt buff) as when I was in 3.15 (i209 with anima, missing savage legs/body). I think you'd need around i230 to match a BiS i210 pre-nerf dps, unless you have a lot of pentamelded crafted gears.

Guess I should have emphasized more with keeping up with melds, which I did mention. I'm @ 227 now but my base AP is 1008.
And before anyone mentions it, getting materia is both easy and cheap now. No reason not to keep up with melds.

It was the same for me. I say was because with STR melds on accessories and food buff, you easily get to 1050 AP with that ilvl now.
The fact that we can have two main stat in our accessories and have a buff from food helps us catch up to the dps (though by now they should be at around 1200/1300+ AP
