Xbox One Elite Controller Hair Trigger Issue Please Assist

I just recently purchased an Xbox One Elite Controller for my Windows 10 gaming pc. First impressions are this is what the original controller should have been all along lol. The app lets you control the app buttons, the trigger response, the vibration and much more. I keep asking myself why they lock this all down to elite controller and not allow regular xbox one controller players to enjoy. Logitech does it for 50 bucks but different kind of controller. So no biggy. The build is quite good too.

My issue is with the hair triggers. With a flip of the button you can move them up or down and when you do this it sets locks on the Rt and Lt buttons so they can recover from presses faster. Would make selecting button configs left and right much faster imo. As it stands FFXIV seems to have an issue with them unless I press really hard. So hard it feels like I might break my controller. Turn them off and of course the controller works just fine. Basically that is my only issue at this time.

I'm looking for any other players who both use this controller to play not only ffxiv but other games as well and would like to know if your experiencing this issue too.

Based on the feedback I get from this thread I will make the appropriate bug report or tech support request if warranted. It might just be me though and that would not be necessary if it is working. Might just be a bad controller and in which case I can just go exchange it.
