What chocobo race challenge gives Cure III?

I heard chocobo race challenges allow you to purchase certain race skills? If that's the case, which one gives Cure III? And what other skills are gained from what races?

I wanted to put off doing the challenges until I got my final chocobo, so I had a source of MGP to fund his feeding. Because of that, I haven't done any of the challenges, and have none of the final tier abilities unlocked. I'm just worried I'd have to wait until the last challenge to get the skill that I want.

I don't remember exactly but Cure/Dash 3 was at least Challenge #12, maybe 13. Unfortunately, #10 is brutal without a pretty damn good chocobo

So I still have a while. I changed my mind and did as many challenges as I could with my current chocobo, getting up to challenge 4 or 5 done. I don't see any new racing manuals though. Do those come from later races, or am I just blind?

When you complete a challenge that awards new manuals, you'll actually get a system message during the victory sequence. At #4-5 you should have gotten some new books, maybe like Paradigm Shift and Super Sprint. They unlock somewhat gradually.

It's important to note that you only get new training manuals every other challenge. The last challenge gives special choco barding.

The answer was Challenge Race 12 (Rating 241). Same with Choco Dash III. Speedy Recovery was Race 10 (221).
