I find the opposite attitude to be more troubling. Mostly because people who already think they're the best at everything don't bother to improve any.

Oooh, shiney...
people feel the way they feel...what does it matter to you how they feel is beyond my understanding. There is certainly nothing to come in here and ask such a silly question on how people feel about themselves + basing a judgement on words without knowing them in-depth or at least personally is well silly

Why does it bother you so much what others care about, or choose to discuss on a message forum?people feel the way they feel...what does it matter to you how they feel is beyond my understanding. Why would you even read the thread, much less post to it? Why not just skip it and move on to something that does interest you? Because you feel that everyone else needs to know how you, MeiUshu feels about their topic choices? Is it a self-importance thing?
Do you even see the irony in you posting what you did?
Probably not.
The irony of your post. I feel the way I feel, which is bothered. Yet you seem to take issue with that.people feel the way they feel...what does it matter to you how they feel is beyond my understanding. ah read this after I replied, I see you beat me to it.Why does it bother you so much what others care about, or choose to discuss on a message forum?

not at all actually, is you that came in the board asking why others feel the way they feel..so yeah the issue is on you and fair enough to ask you why it bothers you the way they feel ? no?
I still want an answer though..why it does bother you how they feel about themselves ??? bothers you enough to post on the boards...you have an anwer to that ?
and if you dont have an answer then probably you shouldnt have been asking that question, because in the end is none of your business, is it ?

This game isn't built things like player spirit in mind. We have a trinity system which leaves us heavily reliant on others. If it were Phantasy Star, one person could redeem an entire team if skilled enough. This game, one player is down and survivabilty is crippled by at least 25%. Some people already know this and it can be stressful at times. So to prevent or reduce it people ask if its ok to do things like pull a giant mob, run in with only 1 dps present. If a healer can't keep up very well, the tank lets them decide how much they want to be pulled (if they're kind enough). Its all about common courtesy. The Blm on the other hand, it takes experience in their own skill to know whether or not they can do things like that. At one point my blm was too weak to aoe dps and wind up getting the tank killed since the damage was taken for too long and the healer ran out of mana. Thats a scenario that used to happen often during 2.5+ for new and less experienced players. Just do them a favor and respect their wishes. Don't force people to push themselves, unless its yourself who's being tested, let them know what your limits are.I was running Great library trying to lvl my paladin to 60, and ran into a healer that had a lack of faith in her ability to keep me alive and a blm who was new to the dungeon who thinks because he's new he automatically believes he can't kill as fast as the other guy( just fire 2, fire2, flare). Why are people like this? I was in a dungeon where a tank did a large pull, and I sadly failed in my task to keep him alive. The tank said "fine let's do small pulls", I said "no give me a second to adjust". We tried the large pull again and no one died. Why can't people believe in themselves a little more?

think its more or less they are afriad to push themselves out of thier comfort zone... ff14 community can be very hateful and vile after somethin as simple as 1 little wipe
Thankfully I main on Aether... but I spent the weekend on Chaos datacenter and was utterly floored by how horrible it is. Out of the 8 runs I did while leveling SMN, 6 of them either had a DC/leave from the tank or healer and disbanded or were in-progs with no tank or healer that disbanded immediately after I joined.

the stuff ive seen people fight about during DF just makes me shake my head.. other day in main roullette 2 ppl joined with thier friend who was new and tanking.. so they put markers on the ground to direct him where to go.. some ehemm in the group kept removing them when asked to stop removing them politely shit hit the fan... rest of the run was just constant fighting on party chat between him and the others lolThankfully I main on Aether... but I spent the weekend on Chaos datacenter and was utterly floored by how horrible it is. and it wasnt pleasant.. i said they have stated thier friend is new and they put markers to guide him where to go whats the problem with helping him that way?? the ehmm simply said if he doesnt know where to go he should go watch videos like rest of us did lol i replied he isnt the problem your attitude is so he tried vote kicking me lol

This is very true, and I was happy that the tank didn't rip into me for screwing up. Plus, I was also pleasently surprised that he was going to adjust the pulls to where he believes my skills as a Healer were, but pushing yourself out of that comfort zone is key to building self confidence. It's all about the mindset and looking where you messed up, and fixing what you did wrong. However, as of late I've been running into more and more people that would easily give up and say "I just can't do it".
