What I would like to see:
1. End PS3 Support
2. Beastmaster - Samurai - Somekind of Necromancer - A dark healing class type
3. A whole different race
4. Doma
5. Swimming, and underwater combat
6. More character customization
7. More storage - Glamour Wardrobe
8. The 3 sisters as a primal

We have a Healer pet class, a DPS pet class, but not a Tank pet class. I have never seen a Tank pet class in a mmorpg, but this doesnt mean it wont work. I love to see Blue Mage, Dancer, Samurai or Red Mage, but I do not want to see those classes being a carbon copy of the current ones + gimmicks.

- So like many have said, add Beastmaster or another pet class and make them tank.
- Introduce a healer that relies on TP and MP, but more on TP, Like how Dark Knight has to use TP for tanking skills, but Dark magic cost MP.
- A caster dps that is different then Black Mage and Summoner. Maybe a support caster, this class has a stance that heals/buffs/debuffs players and monsters, by doing damage to enemies? (Green Mage anyone?)

just a reminder about the hardware, we are about to enter a new generation of gpu (for nvidia) and you can be sure everything will be affected by it, the pascal generation is said to be 2 time better than the previous one... and we know that actually a 970/980 of nvidia is better than what have a ps4 and Xbox1....
then hope a hardware like the ps3 to be still a valid for a game that have a pc version is silly. not because it's possible to get better, mostly because FF14 is not the only game, if they want to stay competitive, they need to improve the experience.

they can't hold the improvement because of the hardware of the ps3, i do hope they will be bold enough for drop it with the next expansion. i know a lot of player are still playing via the ps3, however, the game need to evolve, and it can't be hold back with a hardware old of 2006.... that about 10 years old... is not possible anymore.

About the PS3 issue, I think SE should just come out and say what is holding them back. If PS3 is the main culprit, then they should see how many active subscribers are playing and decide if they should remove the PS3 from 4.0/5.0 or not. Personaly, I think the developers need to think of the game and the majority of the players, if they can evolve FFXIV, but are not able to do it, because of the PS3 hardware, then as harsh it as it is, they should stop making the game for the PS3. In the end, only SE has the data that is needed to decide if PS3 stays or goes.

Can you imagine, they want to add bigger maps or big oceans that we can swim underwater, but are not able to, because old hardware is holding them back, so they add a meh content. I would be gutted if these were to happen.

Well. I'm neutral about the PS3 suport drop. I'm not desesperate to get a big improvement. And, if they drop PS3, It doesn't mean we will get a BIG improvement (All I want is the animations from 1.0, they were more natural and not as robotic as ARR ones). Also, is not only the PS3, but the low spec PC. THis game has a very good optimization, you can run it on old PCs. My laptop is bit old (2011) and I can still run it almots at full with 30 FPS. Increasing the graphic quality will affect this people too (unless they let low PC players keep the current graphics). Think on Final Fnatasy XI, they didn't drop the PS2 support till this year. All expasions was launched on PS2. Probably, they was planning keep the PS3 support to the very end of FFXIV.

So now that we got Palace of the Dead coming. Do these new features give you any new ideas for an expansion?

Depending on how these are received by the players, besides new floors to the palace, maybe even more areas in general, like a whole new palace to tackle.

I hope PoD is really a Diablo 1 clone 15lvls of hell with my Toon and some mates and some drinks purrfect friday night.

What I'd like to see:

1. Less clipping. Seriously. I would like to see the developers review the animations and the gear to drastically reduce the amount of clipping in the game.
2. More dye colors. Variety is always good. Perhaps, stripes, flannel, tie-dyed also?
3. A flatter item level progression. Power creep makes it more difficult to balance the game.
4. Overhaul the summoner job. For a job built around summoning, the job does little of it. Remove some of the current job abilities and replace them short lived summons who could be used in strategic ways.
5. Overhaul the astrologian job. Specifically, take a look at the nocturnal sect and give it some "oomph" so it's worth being in.
6. Add more secondary story quests. By this I mean, quests which follow storylines separate from the main story but reveal lore about the world or have special rewards such as emotes, /cposes, or dances.
7. More NPC involvement. I know the game is about us being the WoL but a lot of times it feels like I'm the only one trying to save the world. I'd love to see more of the NPCs jump in at times and pitch in.
8. The romance of Tataru! Let's help Wedge win her heart in an epic quest line. It could be the most talked about wedding ever!

Personally I'm down for nearly anything so long as I get Red Mage as a melee Int based DPS.

How is PS3 even in the conversation when they clearly stated that the next expansion will not have PS3 support.
