Serious question: Does this scenario happen often with you?

Yes. I draw on CD. Literally on CD. Like a religion. There is a good chance I may draw a card, then need to immediately attune. After I get out of attunement, that balance/bole/ewer could very well decide life or death.

Here's a good example of a situation I get in every now and again:

Getting focused, draw bole, immediately attune, end attunement early, cast essential dignity + bole for when they get back on me.

I'd say, in my opinion, it's better for a newer PVPer to not take short cuts, and do it the most efficient way up front. It will be easier in the long run, though more difficult at the start (if button bloat is a challenge for you.)
