Edited previous post with a broader explanation.

Serious question: Does this scenario happen often with you?

Honestly, this situation rarely happens for me, and I don't think it comes up often unless your strategy is to plan a draw immediately before attunement.

I started ast pvp a few weeks ago, and honestly, attunement usage seems very strategic. If I get caught being surprised by a burst and attempt to react with attunement, by the time the action registers, I'm already low on health. In this situation, the only thing attunement provided me was a few seconds to hopefully get Essential Dignity off of cooldown by the time attunement ends.

With that being said, I'm finding more usage from attunement trying to react more preemptively, looking at the obvious signs of the enemy popping cooldowns and targetting me. In this situation, by the time I pop attunement, I'm at a comfortable life level and the enemy successfully wasted their buffed attacks on me.

When looking at attunement usage in this way, I honestly can't recall an instance where I ever popped attunement with a card buff drawn. Card buffs are usually taken care of because everything was planned accordingly. When I realized this, I thought hey, this seems perfectly ok to just combine the two and move an extra button in the slot.

If you could provide your thoughts, I'd appreciate it. As someone newer to the pvp side of xiv and with as little discussion of it as it is, any feedback from a more experienced pvper is both helpful and appreciated.
