And finally, who would join a "PvP server" just to avoid PvP.

I can name 3 groups right off the bat:
1. People with illusions about how PvP on PvP servers typically works out
2. People who want to play with RL or old online friends who happen to play on that server
3. People who want open PvP to feel superior, aka gank helpless people without being ganked themselves
