Final Fantasy has always been about groups of people teaming up to save the world from an evil force - it has never been about players killing each other in them. This is why PvP in this game is basic and separate from the main game, as it is not the game's focus. If you are wanting to fight other players and kill them in the game, then you are playing the wrong game I'm afraid, as FFXIV will never allow that.

Final fantasy has always been about groups of people teaming up to grind tomestones that become obsolete every 0.2 versions of the game. I think adding a PVP map that contains only daily/weekly quests that reward wolf marks and pvp potions would be interesting, this way the people that enjoy the PVE don't miss anything.

I can't remember that in the other Final Fantasy games. What I remember is farming gil everytime you reach a new town, so you can replace the equip from the previous town with new equip.
