    beast fates

    didnt they mention they were increasing spawn rates for beast tribe fates?? any1 know when thats happening please?? sitting in east shroud for around n hour now just waiting for a fate that dies in less than a minute is just ._.''''''''

    I just wait up to 5min, then I cancel quest. Not worth the time waste o_x

    They decreased the time those FATEs are present for (15 minutes -> 10 minutes) to increase the rate at which they appear. The problem in the East Shroud is that there's 4 FATEs that get cycled through so it's a half hour wait if no one's running the other FATEs in the sequence. Meanwhile the Kobolds alternate between the two FATEs and are much quicker to get through. Boar Wars still isn't worth relying on.

    east shroud and south thanalan can take almost an hour to pop...ill be glad when done with the 80items cause wont be doing those two beast tribes again lol

    Basically they fixed the Sahagin and Kobald ones pretty much. The issue with the other ones is how the FATE system works. Without a substantial overhaul of its functionality (and all the testing and bug fixing that would entail) its hard for them to substantially reduce the others noticeably. They said they would look at it and see if they could find some way to make it better but I wouldn't take it as a certainty at this point.

    I think it would be easier then they let on to fix, they have access to every in game code. Some beast fates pop quite nice now, but 2 are still way too slow imo. I no longer require doing them but for those that do, i feel for ya.

    They mentioned the following in the latest Live Letter:

    It’s mostly the “Quenching Flames” FATE for the “Pulling Fangs” quest and the “What a boar” FATE for the “Boar wars” quest where you might have to wait several minutes before they spawn.

    But, these FATE’s are linked to other FATE’s within the area, so by completing those FATE’s, you will force the previous 2 FATE’s (Quenching Flames” and “What a boar”) to appear. The problem is, we don’t really know which FATE’s they are linked to, otherwise we could chase those FATE’s down and complete them.

    The other downside is that if you do chase them, the chances are that you might not make it in time to actually get credit for the FATE’s you need (since they can usually be completed within the minute they spawn).

    Something that helped me with the Daily Beastmen quest, was that i would chase those FATE’s down whenever i see them pop (even if i don’t need it for the Beastmen quests for that day). So, by the time you actually get “Pulling fangs” or “Boar wars”, you would already have the quest item sitting in your inventory.
