    True, though I do want to add that the only time I can see Parry as appealing is when there are multiple enemies attacking you. Just like Crit becomes appealing for fast hitting damage dealers because of the multiple chances to proc crits, so does Parry when there are multiple chances to proc that 20% damage mitigation. Any other time, it is relatively useless.

    I always rely on my DEF/MDEF stats for defence; the 20% damage mitigation that may or may not happen is nice to have.

    I can't think of a WAR skill that is equivalent to DRK's Reprisal and PLD's Shield Swipe. That's already one more skill that is more useful than the aforementioned two. If SE is intent on balancing the 3 tanks, then I hope they would also change those skills into something more useful.

    So far, changing Parry into an inherent stat in the weapon similar to how PLD shields and block work is very appealing. This way, SE can tailor the weapons based on the jobs that do use those weapons. (ie. DRK 2H swords would have a higher inherent Parry stat compared to WAR axes) That would leave a vacuum on all equipment where Parry used to be though.

    I'd remove it. It'll always either be too weak to help with mitigation so you ignore it, or so strong that every tank HAS to maximise it which isn't any more interesting than going for DPS now.

    There will ALWAYS be a stats that every tank maximize. if this is the fact that isn't interesting, there're some major stats overhaul that needs to be done.

    The difference is you stack them for a different reason. After a raid night you come back and look at logs and go "look at all the damage I prevented through mitigation" much in the same sense that dps look at how much damage they dealt. It's a kind of satisfaction that your unique role brings. now this doesn't exist. I for one don't feel nearly as accomplished comparing dps to other tanks, it's not even my job.

    Something to consider is that, for every class except healers, Crit > everything else. So even if Parry became as good or better than Crit, Parry would at least be as relevant as Crit currently is.

    It'd be nice if we had more than 1 tank stat, though. That would give us some diversity in choice. Unfortunately we're stuck with just the one, at least for the moment.

    incidentally my least favorite stats is crit, even as a dps. distinction between a good dps and mediocre one should be how they manage their cooldown, how to minimize downtime and optimal rotation, not some magical chance in the air.
    As much as I'd love to lean on turning FF into a skill-based game, I do not foresee it happening soon. There are skilled players who would probably love this idea; taking away the RNG aspect of the game in the form of Crit and Parry. Problem is, there are some less-skilled players who are saved by these same stats: from shields that successfully mitigate tons of damage by a crit Adlo, or a parry that reduced damage down to 10 HP, etc. Taking these away would increase the gap between skilled and non-skilled and may drive an entire player base away. (I'm exaggerating, but I hope my point came across)

    Storm's Path does the same thing as Reprisal except 40 more pot and is on GCD as a combo finisher. Can be used either MT or OT.

    Meanwhile Rep and Swipe are oGCD and gated by a Block/Parry which is only available as MT.

    I don't think WAR has any attacks oGCD outside of Mercy Stroke.

    By taking the parry proc off reprisal and it over writing storms path when applied.
