Paladin would be easiest. For DPS, Black Mage wouldn't be bad.
For low level macro single target:
    Raging Strikes
    Fire x5
    Transpose
    Ice x3
    Transpose

    Medium level single:
    Raging strikes
    Fire 3
    Fire x4
    Blizzard 3
    Blizzard x2

    High level single target:
    Raging strikes
    Fire 3
    LAYLINES
    ENOCHAIN
    FIRE 4
    FIRE 4
    SWIFTCAST
    FIRE
    FIRE 4
    FIRE 4
    FIRE
    BLIZZARD 3
    Blizzard 4
Repeat until ENOCHAIN cool down is cleared.

You can throw in quelling strikes from archer as well to help lower your hate generation.

Type while you let the macros do their thing.

For those that think I should've put in more casts, I prepaired for when LAYLINES runs out so that you're already compensating for a slower cast time. Also, ENOCHAIN and Raging Strikes stack. I use the combination all the time and get +25% damage.

On PS4 myself so I know how it works. Still it is easier for classes mentioned. You miss out on some points DPS if you do typing / callout on cooldown heavy classes that is no offense.
Our DRG used to be raidlead/callout but gave up on that. He is now 100+ DPS higher.
I do A5 callout for bombs and push em myself and with latency that can be horror. My healdeeps is currently utter shite since my internet started trolling me 3 weeks ago and I get skillreset (FU sticky CS).

Yeah if I can trust someone else to do callouts I will. While it doesn't affect my dps by much I do realize it does lower it, even if I'm only typing during casts. As for latency.... I know thine pain. I've had the fortune of not having it during the high level raids but the net begins trolling me during the final boss of dungeons most time. Got 3 near disconnects on Fenrir right as he was using Lunar Cry. Painful endings..

I know a few people who main monk or dragoon and call out mechanics flawlessly. Myself, not so much lol. But it certainly is possible. That being said I personally feel like calling out mechanics is a tank responsibility since all they do sit there and get smacked in the face.

That is *exactly* why tanks don't call out. Do you know how hard it is for your group to hear you when you've got a fist in your face? I mean, Seph has like six fists. No one would hear anything.

Callouts really should be done over voice chat.

For Ideal callout it is truely PLD because of a simple rotation.
Hardest are probs NIN (mudra lag still exists) or DRG/MCH/SMN due all the cooldowns.
Um Smn is super easy, just need to memorize like 2 rotations and you're good also the cooldowns actually make it easier

You do have a point, I'm just usually in a position where I can't use voice chat. Playing ps4 with people over a variety of systems does that unfortunately

It may look easy. But SMN is all about micromanagement. There is a great amount of variables to keep an eye on, aetherflow stacks, aethertrail, pets, dots, shadowflare, dreadwyrm. I can easily keep an eye on the variables admittedly but I cannot stick to the BLM's rotation. On the flipside, when speaking to BLMs, a good amount of them have stated that they cannot handle the micromanagement SMN entails. It can be a very tricky class to master. Please note that I am going off the assumption that you were judging by looking and not doing. If I am wrong I am sincerely sorry.

If they're serious about raiding (or just serious about their dps in general) then they should never use macros.
