WHM Hummelfaust A6S | Advice?

I put A6S cause I'm an idiot and I can't change the title.

Our static decided to hit A5S a few weeks ago, and we're still spending far too long trying to get Hummelfaust down.

Right now, we're doing solo tank (pld), solo healer (whm), and I'm having a hard time healing. I'm responsible for maybe 20% of the wipes on it? Not horrible, we've downed him twice now, double KO since we're having a little trouble with dps as well.

All our dps are hitting 1400, 1500 tops
MT and AST 800

My issue is, we've wiped a good handful of times from the tank going down, and I feel like I could be doing something more efficiently? If my timing is off at all, he goes down. Sometimes I just can't keep up with damage, sometimes it's miserable because hallowed ground + benediction is on cd so we do an attempt without it.

Is there something I'm missing here? This damage is absolutely ridiculous, and I feel like I'm using everything I have at my disposal. :x

Normally when Hummel comes down, I SS the tank and e4e him. Regen, Cure I and Cure II on a proc or if I need to catch up a little bit. If he has Hallowed Ground for the attempt, I'm not sure -exactly- when he pops it, but it lasts until right before the first panzercheck. While hallowed ground is up, I normally pop shroud/manapot, then medica II before the first panzer.

Panzer goes off, I pop assize, then cure I + II on the tank. When vul stacks are going up, virus on hummel, then divine seal, presence of mind cure I + II and once divine seal wears off I normally have to pop tetra to catch up with healing until panzers hit again.

Asylum before first panzer, cure III before second panzer, then back to cure + cure II on the tank. Once I can't keep up with cures, all I have left is cure II spam and a benediction + swift/cureII for when I can't keep up with heals.

If everything is timed perfectly, we wipe to the last panzer, yayyy~!

The way our WHM and I do it is (as a sch)

Starts with the OT War as the MT. (so I dont know your solo heal pain :C)
You squeeze in an Aero III then just heal
First Panzer I Indom After, whm just single heals.
Double panzer (tank swap) SCH Virus before the first goes off
PLD pops Hallowed around 20% I think? Its just after the double panzer
You stop healing the pally and go Ham on that PoM Stone III if you havent had to use PoM.

You probably can solo heal this, but if your AST just Combusts/Aeros, drop CS, Swiftcast, Aspected Helios Diurnal, CS back on for the first one, you wont have to heal the party. Then for the double panzer, AST weaves Combust/Aero with Disable. If the party survives with HP>50% Dont AoE heal them. If they have less than that, Assize.
Then do what our WHM does and go ham on it.

The white mage in my group completely solo heals faust not dpsing at all, mostly cure II spam with asylum and regen up, if you're having a problem downing faust it falls more to your group's DPS and scholar/warrior more than anything. But anything you can contribute helps.

I have absolutely no problem with raid damage at all, I think I use maybe 3 whole gcd's on the raid and the rest of it is on our PLD.

This is the issue with a PLD solo taking all the stacks. It means one or two of the stack sequences are going to be really tight in terms of healing. As someone else mentioned, you need to make sure your Astro partner is disabling during the hard stacks. They shouldn't need to heal but the disable helps immensely. Ideally your tank needs to hold some CDs for the first two stack debuff sequences and then invulnerably for the last. Keeping up with these for me (as an Astro in the white mage slot) means that I have to make sure to regen him before or at the start of the first stack. And then quickly jump over to biggerheals (cure 2 for you). Usually by stacks 2-3 I'll pop a secondary cooldown so I can keep up properly (for Astros this would be Synergy or Light speed) I essentially hold one cooldown for each of the three stack cycles you would observe. Below is the rough cycle and how I would do it on white mage.

For Hummel you have 90 seconds of duration so I would plan things as follows on a white mage:
Stacks 1-2 : Regen and Cure spam
Stack 3 : Divine Seal
Stacks 4-5 : Cure2 spam
Panzer : AE heal, Virus, Regen tank

My group just got this down on our second night of attempting this last week, with me WHM solo healing, and our Scholar dps'ing the whole time.
The debuff stacks the tank gets are rough. You can get away with cure 1 until he hits about 3 stacks, then you have to switch to cure 2. For the panzers, medica II works just fine if you time them to go out when the damage hits. Save Assize for after the second one because the third panzer comes out kind of quick after it and medica 2 may not be enough. Our pld popped hallowed ground when the third panzer hits and I switched to dps to down him. Pld died, we considered it our lucky charm.
Also, our dps saved their big cooldowns for him, so if any of your group is using them on the first part, that could be why you're not hitting the DPS check.

I use only Shelton and my short duration cool down on first two adds that's it. So it\\'s back up again on Hummer.

When Hummer comes out we bait is target circle North then all run South. Cover WHM

Normally he\\'ll have a max stack of 4 on me for most of Hummers vuln During this scenario I\\'ll pop small cool downs no more than one.

The hard part comes into play when he goes above 4 stacks. I'm not 100% on why this happens as its sporadic but he\\'ll sometimes add a 5th and 6th stack. You can usually tell this is going to happen because the tank gets two stacks that linger instead of a full 4. If this happens when he goes into his next 4 stack cycle he'll build up to 6.

When this happens the tank needs to go heavy cool down, SENTINEL. The 6 stack situation only lasts about 20s but is very rough without a solid cool down.

We are PLD/WAR SCH/WHM

PLD pulls -> WAR takes at 2 stacks on PLD -> PLD takes back at 3 stacks on WAR -> PLD uses HG 2s after double Panzer (if PLD HG on CD our WAR goes Holm and we just sacrifise him >:| )

Our WHM soloheals except for the double Panzer where I (SCH) throw a Indom. Our WHm just DoTs up then heals and goes full deeps again when tanks use the utimate.

Our DPS are between 1,2k-1,9k WAR and me (SCH) pull each between 900-1100 (depends on pull really for all of us... the derps are real ^^) WHM DPS is at 280 or so.

Oh and if someone dies the raise is on me (RIP ma deeps) but WHM defo has other stuff to do

It's lower DPS for a PLD to solo tank Hummel with a Warrior in the composition. Second, DPS should save their full opener and cooldowns that won't come back up in 60 seconds for Hummel.

If you have a Warrior, they should just take him initially in Unchained (full damage, ignores defiance penalty), then they will use their big cooldowns for the initial stacks. Now at the same time you are letting the DRK/PLD OT get full damage in until 4-5 stacks and therefore having "more" cooldowns available when it's their turn. The WAR will use Holmgang to cover the last 4-5 stack when it really starts to hurt as Vengeance and Thrill fall off. After the voke, DRK/PLD will use minor cooldowns until the first panzer. Then they can start using their bigger stuff like Shadowwall and Sentinel as the stacks get to 4 and above. Then after the double Panzer they should consider Hallowed/Living Dead, and only at this point. This also allows the main healer to stop healing and go DPS ham on whatever is left at this point if you are still biting the nail.

Back when everyone was minimum ilvl in the first weeks I would pop a mind potion here, off-healer and DPS should also consider such in their rotation if you are hitting enrage at this point.
