How difficult is it to find a raid group?

It's easy to find one though not to keep it going... Coming from personal current experience making one is so much harder. But that could be because I want people with my hardcore raid mentality who were left behind. Thankfully I found 5 people but I've had several leave because it didn't fill in a few days though I was advertising all day every day skipping lore for the entirety of last week...it's gonna require patience but sell yourself :3

How is the raiding scene for tanks? I'm a strong WoW tanking veteran that has main tanked Illidan on a TBC server and I'm currently leveling a warrior and I'm willing to transfer servers if I need to.

Raid scene for Tanks is pretty good. There's plenty of spots that need filling, but for Healers it's pretty abysmal since everyone wants a SCH nowadays and the other two healers are just left out fighting for a spot.

I quit raiding in ffxiv simply due to the lack of stability in raid statics since day 1. Even tried to create them both within and outside of my fc. Nothing but no shows, arguments, conflicts or people who don't take raiding seriously and find a night of wiping hilarious instead of using it as a learning experience or even bother trying to do better (which just causes more conflicts). I even shut down my fc and sit in it with just me and my rl friends. As an fc leader I was sick of the whining about nothing to do and then no one showing up, stepping up to help or even showing any interest in the multitude of activities I tried to set up. Rarely had issues like that with the ls I ran in xi, and if they did spring up they were quickly resolved and we grew into an active and quite prosperous ls that lasted years.

Plus unlike coil, alex has nothing to offer but a small boost in ilvl. At least coil had a story that was worth the turmoil.

I sadly relate to this so much, even though I have a PVP static. The community complains about how they hate solo queue and people playing a team game like it's just them, but so few even make a peep for events for premades or teams seeking members. I made an LS for Feast, but no one really networks in it other than myself. I've even had people just up and disappear when we agreed to reconvene in 15 minutes so someone could finish EX roulette.

People are far too timid and passive to be doing the complaining they do, imo, about any kind of static... maybe that's just human nature. I still have to find one more melee and tank for our roster so we can play more regularly, and I'm just dreading it. Chances are I'll have to snatch up and train another brand-new player who actually seems interested.

This experience is why I've never raided. PVP was my first real love in the game and I can't imagine going through all of this all over again for a PVE static.
