Russians old-players pay for subscription 3.6 time more than new steam-players

It's a big problem about Mogstation subscription and Steam subscription for russian players. For Mogstation subscription cost 10.99 euro / month, but for Steam it cost 259 rubles (russian currency) or around 3 euro / month. So you are feel difference? Why i, old-player, who buyed PC-version at Square Enix EU official site before the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn become to PC for Steam, should pay for subscription 3.6 TIMES MORE than new players, who buyed Steam PC-version? It normal you think? Why subscription for PC-version MogStation cost 3.6 times more than subsription for Steam? Where justness? It's normal regional policy for Square Enix?

I can only guess as an american player, but it probably has to do with taxes or tithes. In other words they must increase the pay rate in order to make enough money for it to be worth it due to the national cost of allowing the company to provide the gaming service to your land. Again that's just a guess, but I'm sure there's a better reason than " let's mess with Russian gamers lol."

Bumping this for great justice. I'm a Legacy player and yet the cost of subscription for me is like 3 times higher than it is for newer people - those who bought FFXIV via Steam. It wouldn't be an issue if we could migrate to Steam one way or another, but nope. If you're an early adopter and you live in Russia, you're pretty much screwed. I would sure like to get some kind of official responce to this.

Yeah, I'm Legacy player too and price of subscription little too high, especially when euro went up according to rouble... I dont mind option connect steam version too.

I'm playing with my husband, and he starts playing 1 year earlier, so for now my account is on steam, and his account is not.
If i pay throw steam, for example, i can play about 4 months - but my husband can play only one moths for same money.
That would be great if there will be opportunity to add steam wallet to mog station for "old" account.
or maybe, how was mentioned, time card for russian region with steam prices.

Not sure if this thread will be notice, but still want to up it - cause issue is real, in some point it's not big deal from one side, but of we look on other side : why old players must pay more than new ones? We should be equal on that case)
