Suggestion: More Character Creation Options, Please

This is a list of suggestions I have compiled from an older thread I did on the subject.

Vejjiegirl's Thread showing how many customization options each race and gender currently have.

*Note: this is NOT a list of demands, just suggestions. No one should expect to get all of them but getting a few (or even just one or two of the bigger ones) would be very nice. *

Some Customization Suggestions
- More Face Option for all races and genders. As of now, Male Midlanders are at 6, Female Midlanders are at 5, and everyone else is at 4.
- More Mature and/or Youthful options for every race and gender.
- More Androgynous options for every race and gender.
- More facial features options for brows, eyes, noses, mouths, and jawlines/chins.
- More facial hair options for every race.
- Naturally, more hair and face paint.
- Remove the Gender and/or Race lock off of more hair.
- Give more distinction between the two tribes of each race. As of right now, only Hyurian tribes look different from one another.
- Add more tattoos and facial features (like beauty marks, scars, forehead gemstones, etc.)
- For Au'Ra, separate horns from the face. Naturally, add more horn options as well.
- For Au'Ra, more face scale options.
- For Au'ra, maybe add the option to select the color of your horns and scales. Raen could have lighter colors, Xaela could have darker colors.
- For Elezen, Lalafells, and Miqo'te, add more ear options. Maybe even add a half-Elezen ear option for Hyurs and Roegadyn.
- For Miqo'te and Au'Ra, add more tail options. Bob Cat Miqo'te.
- For Miqo'te, add a fang/no fang option for both tribes. Maybe even add a fang option for the Au'Ra too...Maybe...
- For Highlanders, let them have an eyebrow option like the Au'Ra.
- For the rest of the races, add an no-eyebrow option.
- Muscle sliders for every race and gender.
- Pump up the breast slider a bit more. Minfilia is clearly using hax for those. >w>
- For Female Lalafell, maybe boost the effect of their breast slider a little, so that it is actually noticeable.
- Booty sliders for every race and gender.
- Give us Body-Shape Options
- Allow users to set a default expression for our characters face. Maybe I want a character that looks smiley or a character that is grumpy-looking.
- Add one more area to the customization screen that is evenly light with white light.
- Maybe add a way for races to unlock other races' hairstyles.
- Allow players the chance to get the Lightning and Snow hair, like cash shop, Gold Saucer, etc. We got it! :-D
- Add a Dark-Light setting (like with lip color and face paint) for Hair Highlights (some of the hairstyles don't allow dark colored highlights).
- Add a way for Lip Color to be the actual color and not just a tint.
- Allow a character to have more then one Face Paint option on them.
- Allow player the ability to change their eye color at the Aesthetician.
- Give races more voice options from other races.
- Mix-Race options

How about adding more voice example like for /laugh , combat voice, or anything? I find some voice is good but horrible when on fighting and burst out laughing.

Ye have to understand how data works to understand why character customization is the way it is.

Just mentioned this in another post but you have to see every character variables as a unique piece of data. Say each piece is 1 MB. Now consider this. if every race is limited to 500MB then they have to abide by that to keep it balanced. They can slowly dripfeed in new content as they use techniques to lessen the data to hold said information, but at a base they can't do that.

So you have 4 hair, 4 faces, 2 eyes, 5 tails, that's 160 variables. Now say you have 4 horns added to that. Now you have 160x5 640. Huge jump. It's not as easy as it sounds to add in new options. As much as they would like the option there are limitations to what they are capable of.

A Five Races (plus the Au Ra) version of the Beast Tribe questlines, full of fabulous prizes and exposition for the lorehounds amoung us?

Exactly! More lore, more culture, more prizes! : D

This could be easily implemented through the emotes I think. Just allow us to set a constant expression by selecting one of the current face emotes.

That's what I was thinking, like set it so Smile or Grin or whatever as your default.
