    DRG 220 crafted gear

Quick question for the PRO DRGs here.

I've made most of my DRG 220 crafted gear. I don't plan to spend lore on DRG any time soon (maybe the weapon).

    1. Is this gear good enough to skip the lore and use 240 when I eventually get it? Good enough would mean Sephirot EX fights, AS5 and AS6.
    2. Is it perhaps actually better than some of the 230 lore gear?
    3. If the answer is that the gear is good enough to skip 230 gear, would you then consider putting grade V materia in it? If so, should I stack DET, CRIT, and then fill out with Skill Speed where they can no longer fit?

3.0 DRG noob here, so any advice is appreciated!

    Hi,

Here is a quick reply for you.

    1. Yes it is. Note that if you are planning to try A7S and A8S, you'd better spend lore on DRG.
    2. Yes, but only if you put materias in your gear.
    3. Yes, but it is nearly impossible to stack the status till it no longer fits (putting five grade V materias in one gear, that should cost a lot)
BTW best stat for DRG is CRIT > DET > SS.

    have fun!

I believe the lore equipment might have an upgrade soon?

Yes and no. Some pieces are really good, others not so much. Some Lore pieces are amazing and necessary, others are hot garbage. Some notable examples:

    1. Lore Chest v Crafted Chest.
At item level 240, the Lore chest has a combined stat weight of 141.22
The Crafted Chest, by comparison, has a combined stat weight of 141.17
    The 230 chest is 130.69 - a clear never-purchase item.
The 240 chest from Midas has 0 Acc - analogous to the 0 Acc on the crafted chest. This makes set building much easier.

    2. Lore Pants v Crafted Pants
The Crafted Pants have a combined stat weight of 120.17
The Lore Pants at item level 230 are rocking 157.31
When you get those fuckers to 240, it's sitting at 169.36
tl;dr: Don't even consider the crafted here - it's worthless.

    3. Lore Ring v Crafted Ring
    Crafted - 57.03
    230 Lore - 68.35
    240 Midan - 69.28
    240 Lore - 73.95
    Dump Crafted asap.

Heads - the Lore tends to outweigh the Crafted, even at 230, simply because same stats but the 230 packs more Crit.
Hands - Lore is amazing, but lacks accuracy. Crafted is a nice accuracy piece with a non-shit secondary.
Belt - Just get the Midan one. Use 220 crafted or from Midas normal until then. No other options are worth discussing.
Feet - Crafted is super legit here - Crit/Det with 5 slots to max Crit and meld Acc is pretty great until you have 240.

Neck - Crafted v 230 Primal is pretty balanced - the Crafted can definitely win.
Ears - Same situation as Neck.
Wrists - Primal 230 is strictly better than the 220 Crafted in a lot of ways, but lacks versatility.

    I hope this helps!
