Plants IRL don't have brains, yet it has been proven that they will grow towards sunlight. There are other similar examples where living organisms without a central nervous system respond to stimuli from the environment, like pheromones or vibrations. Things don't need brains to take action.

Growing towards the sun can hardly compared with a morbols movements

Okay, would you like to discuss how carnivorous plants act to trap their prey based on external stimuli? The main point of my post was how central nervous systems (which the brain is a part of) aren't necessary for movement, so trying to use some pseudo-science (incorrectly) to justify a control device that justifies the mount was silly. I'm not arguing against a morbol mount (we have a spinning flying turtle, all bets are off), I was just pointing out a small error.

Morbols detect by sound and respond for a reason.

Tbh let's leave the realms of science behind as science can't explain how a flying horse doesnt loom messed up due to the muscles needed to even fly. It's magic and the same could be said for the taming of a morbol, maybe a whistle calms it enough to ride, there is any number of ways it can be done.

Lore... Well twin killed that yes. If there are enough people who want it then why not? They are an iconic final fantasy mob so they have the status which is all that matters (hell in the final fantasy 3ds game i have i have a morbol mob as a party member so I'm up for having it as a mount here)

    Yes please !
It could be fun to have some sort of taming process, like you get the mini malboro minion and it gives you a quest to take care of it and make it become a mount ^^

Ooooooh. That could be fun. Though I'd want to grow it in my own garden, first.

The thing is because of housing restrictions most players don't have a garden :/

I'm kinda sick of hearing this, to be honest. There were plenty of free plots on my server, last I checked, and we're getting a whole new area with the expansion. Players without a house can grow plants in an apartment or FC room in planters, so even if you're foolish enough to stay on a critically overpopulated server, you're able to access gardening somewhat, though you'll rightly be at the pricing mercy of whoever's doing the crossbreeding on your server. That's the price you pay for staying where you are.

What it ISN'T, is a valid excuse not to have new housing-related content.

I mean, I guess if they wanted to make it easier on those without houses, they could make the seeds purchasable from a vendor somewhere, or given as part of a questline, rather than made via crossbreeding, then you just have to plug it into a pot in your FC room and you're golden. But if they did choose to make it a crossbreed seed, well, it wouldn't be the end of the world, and would likely even bring a nice jump to the economy on some servers.

I would name her "Mrs. Carrot" for maximum reference material.
