Well it's just an alternate option, and it's worked for me. So I'll assume all other PS4 users with the same problem can fix it the same way too. That's great and all but not my problem. As I said I haven't played in months and I am a casual player at that. My return to the game is greeted with needing to reinstall the game that will take another 6 hours. Not a big deal.. it's just a bit of time really, but the fact is it should just work. I'm not on a PC that can have issues with directory paths and corrupt files. It's the ps4, plug it up and play. If I can't do that then other games will do. I re-subbed for the month and if they fix the login issue created my this patch then fine I'll play. If not then they got a free month payment from me.
It's beaten waiting hours for a response that hasn't come yet.
Use your phone to bridge your internet through the PS4, seems to bypass it.

Launcher for the ps4 is updating now, fyi. Seems like everything is good to go.
What we suffer is "the curse of knowledge". For new people, most of the dungeons after level 24 is considered "intense". For us, we just don't understand why newbies do not "get the mechanic" when everything is spelled out for you right in front of your screen... For them Brayflox is HARD ("you want me to Esuna all of you? move out of the way? and cure three people???), Sunken Temple is "ZOMG WTF was that", Cutter's Cry was "intense" and Titan "baby trial" was "fck this, I swear I ran and out of the train track from hell".
