    Dunno how to feel about A6S since that was the one my team was almost done progressing on. On one hand, it'll be way easier now, and we'll probably get it done this week... on the other I wish we would've been informed about the nerfs actually happening before they did (I know there was talks of it from Yoshi, but nothing concrete until this sudden bomb happened). This is so weird...

    Dunno why everyone is so upset or surprised with this nerfs, even tho we could have seen it coming since in one live letter(i think it was) he said that he feels like a6s is too much harder than a7s.
    Yeah i agree the fight was easy once you get the drill of it but hey not everyone is at the same level, also i dont mind nerfs like this, i would have disliked if they put echo that is the nerf that i dont like xD

    I would rather have Echo, you can turn it off so the fight gets preserved in it's original form.

    When you're looking at magnitudes raid-wide damage doing 15k with paralyze, echo doesn't help that (just like how echo doesn't help on fights like T7 or t9). Not to say it won't make the fight easier in some sense, but it doesn't resolve why most groups can't get through it if they don't have the luxury of time.

    It's SAVAGE for a reason, if one group can do it, any group can do it.
    It doesn't make sense in any perspective for a fight that isn't the final one to have a significantly high difficulty jump, let alone the difficulty curve be out of order (since a7s is arguably easier than a6s)

    Looking beyond the intent of the dungeon, that's been a problem since 3.x. Savage is the to-go raid difficulty for any form of static. You can't look at anyone straight in the eyes and say normal mode or void ark is supposed to be just that. The closest you'd get were the EX trials, and those are incredibly far and few inbetween. A3s and the raiding scene is a perfect example of that.

    This is...the same scenario except for 1 key point; Dark souls is a single player game. The time investment is all on you and can be done on your own pacing. Getting 7 other people to meet that critera, not so much and it can easily lead to burn out and frustration when one more or are holding you back. Dark souls is popular as is because of the soul-crushing difficulty, not the rewards it gives for doing so.

    Lets face it though, if you don't have the luxury of time the raids in this game probably aren't for you.

    But thats silly anyway, everyone in my static is in full time employment, lawyers, designer, programmers etc one guy even has a wife and kids on top of that, we still manage our time well enough to be on the last 10% of A7S.

    Did you want a medal? These changes were likely implemented for the groups who've been stuck in the fight due to the difficulty of the first few bosses in the encounter causing time to be wasted. Some groups emply vastly different strategies that might cause different problems or cause zero problems. Half my server's raid scene is still in there working on mostly vortexer and swindler, and I'm sure if I asked, most of them would probably tell me the reason that's still the case is because of all the crap that can happen before you even reach those nerds.

    That's kinda my point, there's no other raid otherwise. It's savage and EX trials when it comes to static raiding. That aside though, there being no raid suited for those type of players is what causes end game to bleed like it did in gordias. Normal Mode could have been for that, but instead it's DF-level for a weekly clear to get gear pieces.

    I'm kind of glad for the A6S nerfs tbh. I could see it turning a lot of people off simply due to the fact of having to clear every set each time you progress on a new mechanic for each Boss. (Since failing the mechanic is typically a wipe)

    For casual raiders, that should open up needed upgrades to make progression a bit easier.
