But when you think about it, thats what you do with every boss fight, you have to make it through the old mechanics to practice the new ones. Outside of running to the next phase it's no different when you think about it.I'm kind of glad for the A6S nerfs tbh. I could see it turning a lot of people off simply due to the fact of having to clear every set each time you progress on a new mechanic for each Boss. (Since failing the mechanic is typically a wipe)
For casual raiders, that should open up needed upgrades to make progression a bit easier.
Lmfao so they nerf A6S which my group was progressing fine in....BUT WHERE WERE THE A3S NERFS WHEN THAT SHIT WAS A STATIC BREAKER!!!!!
I'm legit mad right now.

As a static leader where my static runs about 3 nights a week at 3 hours a night, this will help cut down on frustration massively. Seriously, like I understand why some people find this upsetting because they had to beat it before these changes, but wiping to blaster's first phase despite progressing in swindler can be the biggest waste of raid time imaginable and it wasn't even that uncommon. Like, this just makes getting practice in later fights less stressful for people who have limited time to run.
Well, SE didn't want to take any chances given what happened with Gordias. Last time they figured leaving it alone and hoping that providing higher ilvl gear (Thordan and Diadem) would make the difference, but by then the damage was already done with statics breaking up and players server transferring. With that said, I feel less (or more subtle) changes were needed here over what they went with. Leave Swindler and Vortexer alone, whilst making Blaster and Brawler relatively easy with minor changes.

Their mistake was thinking that giving out 205/210 gear would get more people through A3S. The difficulty of that fight had very little to do with dps checks.Well, SE didn't want to take any chances given what happened with Gordias. It was all about the DPS checks.
Not enough damage during hands of pain? Instant wipe.
Not enough damage to kill the adds while handling all the mechanics? Instant wipe.
Even for the enrage timer there was much optimization needed to overcome it.
Without the DPS checks, this fight would be not much harder than the story mode.

Failed to move the hands far enough apart/close enough together? Instant wipeIt was all about the DPS checks.

Someone standing in the way of the Embolus or failed to move the boss out of the way? Instant wipe
Fail to swap Digititis correctly? Probable Wipe
Fail to sufficiently mitigate Cascade? Probable Wipe
Fail to interrupt Piston lubricant during Mucilage? Probable Wipe
People out of position during Protean Wave? Multiple deaths
Mispositioned Drainage tether or not enough mitigation for it? Multiple deaths
The DPS checks were certainly there, but it wouldn't be right to say they were the whole fight.

They were there the whole fight because of the very tight enrage timer.
The handling of the mechanics got harder because of risky strats and tunnel vision for the sake of DPS.
Just look at the tanks. The switch from full STR to full VIT was surprisingly very noticeable in A3 and A4 for me as a healer.

My group and I raid for about 9 hours a week..7 1/2 if you take off breaks...6 if you take off time waiting for people to show up yet we will be done with a7s tonight. Quality over quantity!

Really didnt expect them to go and nerf it honestly. They let Gordias kill teams but no they go and nerf this so quickly and to be completely honest raiders should have i230 weapon by now with a overall ilvl of 225-230 or more so i cant really see these nerfs being viable ornecessary. Meanwhile teams spent 3 months clearing a3s.
