Read the Party Finder before you join!

The past few weeks I've been in parties via Party Finder or set one up, and someone always joins, doesn't read the description, waits for the party to fill and then realises they joined a party they didn't want to and leaves.

    "Sephirot Ex training, newcomers welcome."

"Oh this is a training party? :s" *leaves*.

I apologise for the rant but this is getting pretty stupid. It may or may not sound petty to create a thread about this but myself and 6 other people's time has been wasted multiple times because people are too lazy or ignorant to read. Please read the Party Finder description before you join and waste other people's time if you're planning to leave. It literally takes a second to check whether it's a training or farm party.

    Thank you.

    Agreed.
But joining a party can happen by mistake, if there are multiple partyfinders up sometimes the partyfinder can shift just before you click or you missclick on which group you want to join.
This has happened to me once, only when we where going in I realised i joined a A1 savage group instead of the A1 normal farm group. I was soo embarassed

Oh that's completely understandable if you joined by accident. The times I am referring to however happened pretty late at night, and there were only 3 or 4 parties up, the other parties completely unrelated to ours. I just find it rude to not even check (again, if you misclick and accidentally join that's totally fine). Especially to wait until the party is full or even enter the duty and only realise when a wipe happens.

I sometimes put in a "To prove you've read this, give me an interesting fact when you join the party" in the description.
This let's me know almost instantly who doesn't read, and who has a good sense of humour! And hey, maybe I'll learn something interesting!

Generally, I find people who do not read aren't people who can read instructions when given in-instance. So they'd generally only hold us back from progressing in whatever it is I wanna do.

That's not a bad idea actually.

That's a pretty good idea, I might use it sometime, thanks for sharing I also agree with finding people who don't read the description to being not so great when given instructions. As well as people leaving, I've had people notice the party was a training party as we entered the duty, and said they'd help out for a few tries. This generally leads them to rush or not really try, because they know they're not going to get a clear out of it.

"Sephirot Extreme Farm Party - No bonus"
Then the party will fill, you go in and then the bonus pops up, ask them if they've seen enrage atleast and they either say first time or thought this was a learning party I think that's the worst part when a party fills and you go in expecting people to have taken 2 seconds to read a comment, hell, even it being a farm party should tip them off that they don't need to read further. Kind of reminds me of people here and other forums who only respond to thread titles and don't actually read the comment going into more detail and then having some kind of rant over nothing.

Yep, it works both ways, training, farm or anything else. I think people just look at the "Sephirot Extreme" part and join it. Another thing that annoys me is people who join and then say they only have 20 minutes or something immediately after joining. Why did you join then? I just don't understand some people.

For laughs, a group I play with and I decided we were going to go get a few people their final coil clears a few weeks ago starting at T10. We were bored, what can I say?

We had 1 spot open so I decided to put it up in PF to see what happened. I put it at i250 so they would have to ask. The PF was something like:
T10 wiping party. This is not a learning party, there will be no learning here. Do not watch a video. Do not ask about loot, there will be no loot.

Had someone ask to join like 3 times. So I let them join. We go into T10 synced and do not do a single mechanic correctly to see if they actually read the post before we would go and get the clears for the couple people who needed to complete coil.

Obviously, we got stomped a few times while all of us laughed at how crazy it was.

When we left to queue up unsynced and go for real, the added person quit immediately.
