ways of leveling

please give us more ways of leveling than dungeon grinding or timed quests. even fates dont give enough xp for the amount of work done to complete them. i am currently stuck at lvl 47, my MSQ line doesnt pick up till level 49, and the only answer i get for the gap is dungeon grind or fate grind... give us some side quests for the love of god

The sidequests really start at level 50+ (Hildy/Crystal Tower/Relic Weapons/many many more). If you want to level up, then be sure to ask for an FC buff (Since that can increase all combat based EXP by 10%) any kind of food (Another +3% EXP for combat/crafting/gathering), as well as logging out in sanctuary zones for resting EXP.

There's also your daily roulettes that give a bonus to EXP for completing a dungeon.

Also I would like to HIGHLY reccomend that you go to Northern Thanalan (Level 49 fates up only on this map) during a more populated time on your server and shout for a party invite for fates. I did that with my BF and newer friend who joined recently, and she went from level 46 to 50 in about 3-4 hours. You also get grand company seals in the process in which you can rank up in your grand company (I highly suggest you getting this to max rank if you've yet to do it)

Levi quests = side quests my good sir also do your hunting log if you haven't yet.

north thanlana fates only give about 12k exp, hunting log completed, dont want a FC as all they are is drama as with any other mmo, and no side quests left for me.

Man the anger. Well thats your choice I suppose, but really, you can't complain that much if you want to miss out on ways to help with leveling, and expect things to change. Hate to say it, but its an easy grind comparitavely to a lot of other games, and you sir, will just have to deal. Its a very small gap.

If you haven't picked up the daily beast tribe quests, those would be good to start on and can be a decent source of exp to get you through the 47-49 quest gap. Between the sylph, kobold, sahagin, and Amalj'aa tribes, you can do up to 12 quests per day that way. You'll want to build reputation with those anyway if you intend to do the level 60 relic questline at some point since the higher tier quests give tokens that can be traded for things you'll need for that. (Also materia. Can't go wrong there.)

There are a couple of quest chains that start out of the Waking Sands at about that level which will take you out to a couple of other places (Gridania, Aleport area and Upper La Noscea as I recall) which I totally missed when taking my first job through that level range. Did you get those already?

But yeah, the daily leveling dungeon roulette is one of the best exp sources out there. You're leveling a tank, so you'll pretty much never have to wait around for a queue. And you get almost a full level's worth of exp from one of those. Hate to say it, but if running dungeons a bunch isn't something you can tolerate, you're going to be somewhat hampered for progression even in the endgame.

i do my daily beast tribe quests already, ty for that suggestion. if i sounded angry i apologize, that was not my intent, but a big problem is exactly this: players are willing to settle for this way of lvling. running dungeons is not exactly a big problem for me, i just dont like to have to repeat them after i have done them, not unless theres a drop there that i really want. i have made it to lvl 48 now, but it took a lot of repeating guildleves to do so.. timed quests, oi vey!...

You say "north than fates only give 12k exp" but that is a lot for the couple of minutes you spend doing it. If you can find a fate party there, which there will usually be, fate grinding can be faster than doing dungeons.

You are acting as if something that takes only a couple minutes to do should give as much exp as something that takes 10-20 minutes

Not everyone is here to cause drama. A lot of people are more than willing to help out, and if you 'think' that an FC is drama, then just don't ever speak in the FC and just make use of their buffs (A lot of people join huge FCs just to get the bonuses, nothing more)

I spend a few hours every week minimum in N.Thanalan/ect trying to find people leveling their first class to 50/60 to make it a bit easier on them, as well as more than willing to help friends/FC members level up if/when they need it.
