    Cross Class Skill Question

    Hello all.

I'm still relatively new to the game, steadily getting the hang of things though and now I want to make sure I'm playing appropriately for group settings. Not much of a grouper, but I do my daily roulettes and any dungeons needed for the MSQ. So here's my question:

My main and first class is now 48 (BLM). I know there are cross-class skills that are prudent for BLM, but right now I just have the one from archer lvl 4. I was hoping to just power through to 60 before I stop and level more classes for the exp buff. Am I hurting myself or my group mates by not stopping and leveling them now? Or is it OK to get my first 60 then level the other classes needed for cross-skilling?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated I worry now that I'm getting closer to the 50s that I might be doing something wrong. Thanks!

I would say you might want to go for it once you hit the 50s but you shouldnt have any problems getting to 60 first. I would definitely recommend doing it then though

Also you dont need to be capped for the exp buff. As long as you have a job which is leveled higher than the one you are leveling you will have the bonus

Thank you kindly! I'd heard that at 60 the exp buff was greater, but maybe I was wrong. I'll prioritize a skill or two to level for in a few levels, then push to 60. I always feel better having a max level something when in any game.

    Indeed you were misinformed.
As for the details, it's a static bonus you receive. The difference in your levels makes no changes. From levels 1-50 you'll receive 200% bonus, and from 51-60 it's a 50% bonus.

    Happy levelling!

As Zari said in low level dungeons it's not a big deal, but as long as you have one class that has high level it's easy. Don't be like me a PLD who's now working on CNJ for stoneskin been putting it on my backshelf for ages >.>

Yeah that is false information. The exp boost is always the same

Quick question OP. How did you unlock blm if your arc is only level 4?

With that aside blm uses cc from acn and arc. The acn skills will give your more survivability when you solo, and the skills from arc will increase your dps, which is already lower than a blm of equal level who has their classes leveled. Unless he is severely under geared. In the lower levels it's not a big deal, but you're at the level now where it's starting to matter.

Sorry I should have worded that better. I have ARC at 15, of course, for BLM, but I only have the single cross-classable-skill Raging Strikes, which is lvl 4 ARC.
