    Item Color/Quality vs. Stat Budget

So I'm looking for data and clarification as to what the different colors of items mean, and how they relate to the stat budgets on them.

Right now, based on a cursory survey, it appears as though there really isn't any difference in potential secondary stats between green, blue, and purple at the same item level.

Is the color separation superficial once you get past HQ White gear? Is the only major benefit to the Relic the fact that it's got fancy graphics?

Square, what do the colors mean?

The colors correspond to acquisition, not quality.

Yeah. The colors don't have much in the way of "stats" like I think you're used to in other MMOs. There are "white" Pink, green gears from dungeons. There are Blues for certain pieces you get from vendors based off of items need like Poetics etc. There are also blues that are crafted or drops from Primal raids. And then there are HQ pieces which DO have a significant stat boost compares to certain pieces.

There are some pieces that have the same name from dungeon chests yet, can have different stats. Swapping a DEX stat for a VIT stat or what have you. But you're a lvl 60 PLD so ... not sure how you got that far without already knowing the differences in colors and why they are what they are PLUS stats on gear.
