A way to "release" Chocobos

This is a purely cosmetic suggestion.

I just started getting into the Chocobo game and started breeding. Haven't gotten very far yet, but I've had a couple of fledglings come through with like the worst stars possible from the combinations I've put in. I don't want to sign them up and race with them so I'm left with having to dispose of the Fledgling Registration Certificates.

Now since you get the little cutscene of the new chocobo racing up to you when you get it, it feels to me like the bird is kinda real. And if i just delete the certificate from my inventory then I am left wondering what happens to the chocobo. Does he just stand there in the yard, rain streaming down as you turn your back on it and walk away?



I would like there to be an option at the chocobo breeder where you can turn in your unwanted certificates. LIke with some kind of dialogue from the chick saying

"Oh this bird isn't what you are looking for? That's okay - if you want, we can take it in and raise it. One day it will become a brave companion for a new adventurer like you yourself once was! What? Where do you think all those chocobos the Grand Companies reward their member with come from? Don't worry they will have a great life ahead of them"

You could offer like token amounts of gil, or even some of the training food in return for handing over your chocobo, but that isn't necessary. I would just like an option to release them without feeling bad T_T

When you discard a Chocobo registration, you're just discarding a piece of paper. For all the Gold Saucer knows, you still have it and could call on them to bring your chocobo out at any time. All you've done is free that poor stunted chocobo from every having to work a day in its miserable life, growing fat on the Manderville welfare state. Is this what you want your MGP going to???

i retired a chocobo b4 rank 40 once.. the cutscene broke my heart and i swore no matter how bad its stats were id never do that b4 40 again lol
