Suggestion of a new race?

Okay so. I had an idea with a new race, I posted one about classes and so i'm keeping it final fantasy themed from previous final fantasy's. So I was thinking of having a bunny race? Like Fran from Final Fantasy 12. I know we have bunny outfits, but was just an idea.

SE actually did consider introducing the viera (Fran's race) briefly... but scrapped the idea as they felt that they are just similar to the miqo'te, and thus only want one 'animal/human hybrid' race in the game. Hence the au ra were introduced instead. Personally I'm glad they did, as the viera are just.... so iconic for the Ivalice games they just would not fit here, given the fact the five initial races for FFXIV were based directly on the races from FFXI. But I digress...

Viera race with both Rava & Veena (as darker / lighter) will probably make it the players community will keep asking for them. I feel they will be a good trump card to boost game sales. So, I hope similar as Au'Ra was introduced in end of 2.XX MSQ, the Viera will be too for the next Expansion package or Major Patch.

Any other races brought into the game would only be during expansions most likely.

Why not? We haven't explored the entire world in game yet, so who is to say that there aren't a few more races out there that don't really journey to areas we've been to.

Because exploring the world doesn't necessarily mean you have to find sentient beings lol. And because they're not needed, the only reason why I see them creating more races is so they can keep cashing in fantasias.

Tbh if anything I kind of would like to see another large or small like race
rather than just another thing that is pretty much a human with some additions

..what Zari said. Considering Auras (female at least) are just Miqos with horns (and Highlanders ones without) would be very refreshing to see another race with far more distinguished beastly characteristics. Would love to see a Fran/ Vera race. Remember Freya from FF9? hell..go crazy and add Quinna's genepool~
