If you're fluent in the languages and intend to use them if need be, that's fine, but the dev team didn't frivolously include this system as a way for players to say that they don't mind being paired with, say, Japanese players, they put it in place so Japanese players (or English, French or German speaking players, etc.) can choose to be paired with only those who they can communicate with. I'm sure you could rely on auto translate for some things, but I'd imagine it's not that effective for explaining mechanics or strategies if necessary.

I agree w/ Fyce. The OP is at fault here. "You know, maybe stop dancing and start healing," is going to be treated as a hostile remark! Going on and further insulting them by stating they didn't have the "decent to speak english" is just asinine. He'd be kicked no matter what the language. My advice to the tank, just keep quiet! Keep it up and someone will report you!

The OP is says he German is, so should we assume that all Germans are as rude as he is? Of course not because most Germans are friendly. Just like most French, Japanese, and English players are. Don't judge a person by their nationality, race or ethnicity.

I mean, if the healer is dancing instead of healing what are you supposed to do? Just go pull again?

That behavior in and of itself is already openly hostile and I don't see how OP is at fault.

...What? Do we really have two separate places for language settings? That seems needlessly convoluted.

I agree it looks hostile, but it was mentioned a couple pages back by someone who knows French that the healer apologized. Also, I think the OP said something about having checked off German as well, in which case if the French had selected only F and G, then it would be wrong of the OP to expect them to speak in English. He maybe should have asked them if they could speak either english or German and not taken for granted that they knew English and things might have gone smoother.

Your signature is the Disney version of "Mic drop". Perfect.

...TWO? You'd only wish. I think there's actually THREE:

1- Your info in your search profile, which shows up in the party member list as well.
2- What you tick in the Duty Finder.
3- What you tick in the PARTY Finder.

And my comprehension of the three are as follow:
Search profile: Shows languages you understand if ticked. Shows current client language if undersigned.
Duty Finder: People who you'd agree to be matched with.
Party Finder: People you accept in your party that you are recruiting members for.

Hence the confusion, I'd say. People can and will continue to select most language to speed up queue times... and in all fairness, who would blame them?

I would say that the OP escalated the situation unnecessarily. A healer dancing instead of healing is frustrating, but it's not really the same as singling out someone and attacking their skill level. That said, I think we are lacking too much information to gauge the situation.

...Someone will report him for asking the healer to heal instead of dancing?
It's sad isn't it. The stuff people waste GM's time over.

That seems to be a common theme in this game though.
