Green is obviously me, red the other guys.
I have removed the names because I don't want to name and shame.
Originally, I only made that screenshot for a friend and it went on after this.

No rules broken (because you censored the names), but it does seem like you just encountered a bunch of jerks, and that really sucks.

I have a problem with French people, that they put PF title in English, and I forget to check their language settings (so technically it is my fault, yeah), join, and it is a trap inside, I don't understand French at all.

Why not name PF in French if you want french speakers? My native language is Russian, so if I want Russian speaking players, I just can name PF in Russian. If you don't understand it, it just means that it is not for you.

I don't understand the point having language preference for DF ticked off/on ,you will end grouped up with ppl that don't wanna communicate at all.

Meh I'd rather wait longer ques rather than dealing with jerks

Well, after seeing the screen, I agree with Fyce, "putain" doesn't mean what you imagine in that context, it pretty means "my god" or similar things, it can be understood as "seriously", or "o my...", it is nothing but an interjection without meaning in itself and CERTAINLY ABSOLUTLY NOT an insult.

Twenty years ago, people were used to say "merde", now, it is "putain". Nothing but a vulgar interjection without true meaning. One similar english interjection is probably "damn".

They were mainly kidding, teasing you a little. A joke, not very clever, that's right, but Fyce could probably confirm, when french people are really aggresive, they are pretty much more harsh.

As someone has stated earlier, it's not a French thing (or an American thing or Japanese thing or <insert Nationality here> thing) it's an anonymity thing that the internet so easily provides. When there is a lack of fear of repercussions for one's actions it just encourages some folks (regardless of age) behave like complete twats.

There is some of these people on my server. Always trolling and acting like...well, yeah...way worse then what you described. Think, mid 30 year olds shouting at hunts in dire need of validation and attention. It is really sad.

I won't say names because they'd enjoy the attention, but anyway all you can do is remove yourself from the situation/blacklist/ignore. If they insult you then you call a GM and they get suspended. I've done it many times with success with these people lol.

Every French person I met in my data center always did terrible things like healer with gatherer gear, PLD who didn't use flash, or anything. only one of my entire DF did normal things.

I had a (French client)level 50 Arcanist with Topaz Carbuncle out in a Brayflox Hard(got it for the roulette). Just noped right out of that one. Such a high level Arcanist in duty with a Topaz out, you know they are not going to play properly.

We can deduct that the French players queued up with at least French and English selected based on what the OP says. The French players would have known that the OP speaks at least English, and possibly any other language the French people had selected. Then the OP says, and this is a direct quote: I speak french. At this point it's not wrong for the French players to assume that the OP does indeed speak French. They have no way of knowing if the OP had selected F (or D or J) in the options but they now know he speaks French. In this light, why should the French players speak English when to their knowledge they are understood in French as well? It's not like the OP was asking politely either...

By the way I'm glad this thread got pruned a little.
