Just look at how many views this post has compared to the amount that reply. We have people who are interested in PVP guys. The amount of people that have said…
“New players should not be allowed to queue for 4v4 Feast without having learned or even tried 8v8 first.”

No that’s not cool. And it would not make you feel any better when a player lets you down in feast. New or not. Instead why not go out your way to give a tip or two. Would it not be cool if you could refer them to a helpful post atleast… here.. in the pvp section. Of our OFFICIAL forums. Instead of almost always finding a divided community.

Whether you admit or not, that's reflective of the state of the game. PvP has never been given much of a thought by SE, and the lack of policing, focus and especially foresight is what leads to this. Initially they'd announce that only solo queues would receive seasonal rewards, with the top 1, 10 and 100 players per datacenter getting said rewards; It doesn't take that much of a thought to realize what the problem with that train-of-thought is. Even for pre-formed 4v4s, it doesn't match based on rank and now it becomes a matter of which team farms more rather than being the better player.

My point being is that its not entirely a problem that stems from the playerbase, but it's also from how the game is setup. It seems incredibly short-sighted to bring it up exclusively on the players.

Ok well I'm still going to try get this information from multiple players and I hope it will be useful to someone here on the forums. When I announce the live interview, I hope some of you can come by and enjoy what might be very fun chat. Like I said it's nothing serious. No one is getting hurt, paid, or up to no good. It's for fun and I'm looking forward to what this guy will share. I'll post it here for all to see if you're, interested you can read it.

Don't get me wrong, I think you've got a great and wonderful idea. I'm not opposed to it at all. I just think people are going to see it as a circle jerk mostly because of the amount of salt players have towards Jammy's crew and the like. That's why my suggestion is merely to have the opportunity to be interviewed open. That way anyone with information they think is worthwhile can be shared and the community can hear the opinions of the people with the loudest and most confident voices. People will always disagree with who you pick, so let the community pick who it wants.

This is a problem. The point of these interviews, at least as it seems to me, is to give the PVP community information that will benefit them, broadening the understanding of the game and how it works by getting insight from the top players. Just because someone has something to say, doesn't mean they are informed, practiced, or even correct. And if they feel so strongly about their opinions, there is an open PVP forum for them to post on. There are countless posts on these forums alone that are filled with nothing but misinformation. I'd point out that tier list thread as an example. It meant well, but at the end of the day it simply wasn't correct.

After talking to another player on my server, he was pretty neutral about it all. However he did say while talking on discord that making a video so people can hear me rather than just read toneless text. Might help some see where I'm coming from. This didn't sound like a bad idea so..

Look I agree with what your saying, but you're not listening to all of my post. You're cherry-picking a line. The statement I'm making is that if you pick specific people to interview, it is always going to be seen as circle-jerking or incorrect. Someone will always be salty. The community should be voting on who gets interviewed based on their playstyle and their performance in the upcoming season. There are plenty of good players who didn't participate much in preseason that may be interested in the full season and truthfully all PVP boils down to currently is who you party with.

I'd love to hear some names. Also keep in mind, this is about the Feast, right? So why would he interview people that have not participated in the feast?

I want the forums to have helpful viable information on how to pvp for all classes but I only play AST. And I never use Noct. So can you imagine the flaming I would get if I even tried to post a AST guide? But I still want it to be here on the forum so guess what… I have to find an AST and then find a way to get them to give me all the good tips and tricks. So this is my way of doing it. Helping the community by showing other players love and appreciation, and getting that same player to give up their tips and tricks.

I play diurnal Astro too and put a large amount of tips and tricks on your thread but didn't even get a response T-T I need something to do while my comp is broken, plzzzz. I can't play diurnal Astro PvP so talking about it would be the next best thing T-T even if it's just "your tips are sh*t"

LOL Sorry Nessa that I didnt reply. I didnt think people cared about that. I dont think i have to reply and say nice post "all" the time. But NICE POST. I really liked reading it, I'll go out of my way to atleast hit the "Like" button next time. You can kill me for that. ^^;

But the point i'm trying to make is people would rather come here and tell me I'm a "Circlejerk", than post some cool tips and tricks. And that is the norm here. I mean look at this....

The non WHM mains have to chime in, I mean he came here to ask for HELP! Yet people give me time and energy to tell me i'm wrong, why not give time and energy to help that guy. Not only does he benefit but so will everyone else that reads. The thing is maybe people are too scared because they almost know 90% of time somone will come by and say "Errr actually you're wrong and you're an idiot. Now let me tell you why." Then before you know it we are getting banned, posts deleted and all that stuff. Now I'm not about to play police or babysit and I cannot force people to post helpful information. But I see too many people do this even the players I want to interview. Instead I thought let me just do something that I think can help us and players like that who come here for tips. If that means I have to be a "Circlejerk" to some people, so be it. (That term is so funny btw I have never heard of it up until now ^^; )

Now before people reply here telling me how wrong I am. Atleast go reply to him and help the guy out, it would be time much better spent.
