    Colorblind Mode Discussion #MakeGreenBlueAgain

    Edit tl dr:

SE has implemented visual cues that bypass issues that arise to colorblindness, but not completely. While we have cleared content we've had issues with concerning the colorblind difficulties of one of our members, it's still extra effort that we would otherwise not have to go through. Examples of our workarounds were looking at the icons, having vocal callouts in chat, etc. We initially joked about the issue in our video and we got a surprising amount of support for it from others bringing up their own difficulties (though many have also made it clear that there are several great fixes that make perception of color alone unnecessary). Since then I did a bit more research and wanted to start a discussion to see if this was something the Dev team's time would be worth going towards, be it a colorblind mode, other signals for mechanics, and what mechanics are still obscured due to color with no other signals such as Bismark weather and buffs.

Currently Discussion has yielded that the following fights contain visual difficulties not yet addressed:
Bismark Ex Weather and Sunuwa add buffs
    A6S mines and Lift icons

You have my full support. A lot of people are affected by this issue, even people who may not be completely aware they have a degree of colour blindness. It's a minor coding change to ensure that the major color blind groups are covered & there should be also the ability to change an accessibility setting to customise colours for those who are colour blind but not in the major groups (red-green & blue-yellow).

There's also those who cannot see colours at all, here there's a greater difficulty but it could be dealt with by, for example, instead of having a red circle (good) & blue circle (bad) mechanic it could be dashed red circle (good) & solid blue circle (bad). It's not a huge upheaval to make a game accessible in this way, it just takes forethought & motivation.
