    Idea about morale stat and viability of PvP gear

    inb4: I understand that this idea could be preeetty stupid (especially after pronouncing it aloud) but I feel obligated to post it nevetheless.

    PvP locking item lvl at 150 is understandable, this way better gear is giving very slight advantage if at all, making PvP more dependent on skill rather than stats. But because of it idea of morale stat raising item level of your gear feels a bit wasted. Also, PvP gear is generally not viable in PvE (and not even really viable in PvP itself).

    How about some item that is locked behind PvP rank and can only be bought by Wolf Marks, which, when used, would boost gear ilvl by morale stat (for 2 hours or so, for example, not permanent). This way PvP gear would be viable in PvE and we would have another way of acquiring raid-tier PvE gear (besides tomes and raids). I understand that this would be "yet another grind" but I believe that the more options the better. Also, I understand that this idea is still needs some balancing.

    If they cannot find a solution to make pvp gear unique, then I suppose they should remove the defunct morale stat and just increase the base item level to match those of the crafted sets and prototype raid sets in future, while also allowing materia effects outside of pvp.

    This way it would be viable in pve as yet another bottom rung option of three-step gear ladder, but still 10 item levels behind capped tome gear and 20 behind savage. Maybe it would encourage more players to enter pvp for their gear progression. The biggest problem facing pvp is still the low participation causing queues to last for hours at times.

    i'm down for that. It takes time to build wolf mark anyway. It could potentially be another alternative tome set.
