Having issues with socializing with people

Like the title says i am kind of a introvert to make it more clear i am mildy autistic
now my problem is that i am kind of a solo player while i want other people to play with aswell.

Now you probably thinking like ask your around in your FC or Join a LS etc
well i dont have a FC i have switch between 5 FC's and i always felt like i was on the background of everything.

I did make a few friends along the way but there was not much interaction,
i do most of my content alone where i mostly relly on the DF or PF with strangers and people that you wont see again after you done the trial, raid and dungeons etc.
I thought about changing servers but the people the people who are kinda close with me make me want to stay while i am not really happy with the server i am in,
its low pop and nobody speaks to anyone they dont know from the impression i got.

What i am actually looking for is a FC or at least a group of people that treat me like i am one of them with out getting the feeling that i am closed out from anything a group that helps each other out and nothing like what i have experienced like trying to join a conversation but getting ignored and talked over etc.

If there is anything that might help me please let me know.

Socializing can be hard even for an extrovert person.
All I can say is for you to keep searching for something that's comfortable for you.
Don't try to push yourself into conversations that you don't feel comfortable with.

At the end of the day, only you can determine where you play. So if you're truly unhappy with your server, then don't stay just because people who already don't interact much with you (if I'm understanding what you wrote correctly) ask you to. They have to give you a reason to stay and actually play with you. Or at least chat with you. I would advise you make alts first in potential servers to get a feel for what the community is like should you decide you'd like to move.

As for meeting more folks: just take it one step at a time. Something as simple as making yourself say "Hi" at the start of dungeons can open up a lot of surprising interactions. More often than not people won't talk, but I've had entire silent parties become chatterboxes just because we greeted each other. Or one of us danced while waiting for someone to finish a cutscene.


This next idea might sound odd, but have you also considered looking in the marriage thread for an EB partner? A lot of people in that thread aren't searching for anything romantic. They just want to find someone they can reliably play with and expand their friendship circle. Which sounds right up your alley. Crazy thought, but you never know. That could also lead to finding a good server/FC to join too.

It took me some time and changed servers quite often to finally find the right spot for me. If you don't like your server it's not worth staying. Sometimes just say hello in the general chat or interact with people with emotes sometimes that helps

Same here OP.

I'm an introvert and also on the high functioning end of the autism spectrum. There's nothing I can say to help that hasn't already been said ezcept you have to find that right FC. It's out there as I'm a part of one.

I know that feeling OP, I'm also introvert. Feeling kinda left out some sort you're not belong to their group.
I'm also looking for new FC, hoping that I will find FC that accept me and do stuff together.

I saw! I'm glad the idea wasn't too strange ^^; I wish you luck! That thread seems to have worked for quite a few people so I hope it does the same for you. Just remember to be patient with it.
