I like the idea of being able to customise your stats a little to suit your play style. Or even cover up where you might think you are lacking but, I also think the idea of everyone one being on equal footing is better.

Sorry to not fully agree . I think having some slots to either choose some more stats like mind, skill speed and so on would be great. Like materia that would give +2 strength or even +1... Nothing too huge. But I would like it to stay synced at 150. Just because I think the pace of the game is fine. Changing the potencies for balance is a good idea. But ramping everything up probably won't be good for balance. 1 useful slot per piece for materia on the left side would be nice.
