Hey guys check out my idea for crafting...

After they made NPC repairs 99% in 1.19 theres no real reason to need to craft if you dont want to. The point of having materia and all that stuff is to give crafters a job. If you think u NEED to craft because of materia then that means u also NEED to do all the DoL so you can get the catalysts yourself. The point is to rely on other people, not everything has to, nor is intended to, be done by yourself, the object of a MMO is to work with other people.
The worst thing about crafting now @ 40+ is that you spend more time choco'ing out to the camps to turn it in than it takes you to do the leve.
If you have a programmable keyboard or mouse then you can write a macro for it. If you don't have or want to buy one then you'll have to find a program/bot that allows you to do it. I would just go buy a turbo gamepad off of amazon (I think the official FFXIV gamepad has a tubro function lol), but if you want something that has more than one use, go buy one of the gaming keyboards from Logitech. The only detection/safeguard SE seems to have is a GM messaging you to see if you're at your keyboard. Just be smart about it. Don't craft for absurd amounts of time.
I actually have a logitech keyboard but it is one of the cheap ones from wal-mart so i may just buy a gamepad. The emphasis (near requirement) on crafting, as well as the incredible grind on it is what will make me quit this game, if anything.
(though I also think gathering is an insane slog, also.)
How would you propose someone actually afford gear + materia without having a DoH profession? You sure as hell don't make enough gil or get enough useful mats as a DoW, and unless you have a high DoL and a lot of high level DoH friends you will be SoL or spamming LF45+ BSM (Reward) 100,000 gil for a long time. After they made NPC repairs 99% in 1.19 theres no real reason to need to craft if you dont want to. Not to mention the idea of handing a person you don't know 1 million gil worth of mats, which will have a 70% chance of disappearing is pure insanity.
