That's pretty unlikely, and is certainly not indicative of automation unless it's observed over long periods of time. Either way, the only way SE can detect this is to look at individual users over long periods of time. There's no injection or background programs running that a rootkit i.e. Warden, Hackshield, Gameguard etc. could detect. A GM has to be suspicious and then investigate. SE could have some search algorithm running on their servers that specifically looks for obvious patterns of keystrokes, but that certainly does not seem to be the case.

They're going to have to alter the crafting interface to stop this, or hell, I have an idea, just scrap crafting entirely and start over!
