Suggestion to improve titan egi's usefulness

Outside of solo content, titan egi has no use. So to improve that, my idea is that when the summoner uses enkindle on titan egi, titan's earthen fury additionally tethers all mobs hit to the titan egi (for 15-30 seconds). Think of it like eye for an eye, except its guaranteed to proc every single time. The mobs cannot be pulled off, even if a tank has higher aggro.

The point of this is so that titan becomes a sort of locking down tool, which is what a tank or a tanking pet should be doing. This gives titan egi an actual use, without making tank classes useless. Because remember, if this ability is to be fair, its attached to enkindle, which has an uptime of (15-30 seconds suggested) and a down time of 180 seconds.

Now of course the first thing youre thinking is this isnt fair because titan egi can lock down multiple mobs without question, for its duration. This is true, but that doesnt mean titan egi can withstand such high damage. Its actually pretty lacking in defense and is relatively hard to heal. Egi's arent on the party list, and a healer's focustarget should be on the boss anyways, which means a healer has to be paying attention. If the summoner isnt careful, titan egi can very easily die withen a couple seconds.

I dont think this skill should work on the main boss, only on trash mobs or maybe main boss in non raid instances

What I think titan needs to be viable would be a provoke added to "Earthen Ward"

I just stated that it doesnt work on boss mobs. If the devs think a certain mob shouldnt be affected by earthen fury, they can give it resistance as easily as they can give a mob stun resistance. Also your scenario is laughably pathetic. Why would a summoner EVER do that when they could just run garuda with contagion the entire time. The only way that could happen is if the summoner is already running with titan and was planning on the tank dying, which would be idiotic.

On a sad note: Eos/Selene will not heal an Egi directy like they will a party member who drops below 80% :c

Scholar main, part of why i hate summoner egis. Thats part of the reason why its harder to heal them

Seeing titan barf up a bunch of chains during a large pull would be amazing. I'd call it spawn-egi.

Personally, I don't mind if a healer can't get my egi. I outright plan on it and never, ever expect a healer to go for it. As ACN we're given sustain pretty early on and if we don't make use of it, it's our own fault. Not to mention, if for some reason the egi does go down, it's a mere 5 seconds to bring it back or a swift summon instead. If people are ragging you for not healing their egi's, they are idiots.

It's funny how this thread is being brought up when a couple days ago I ran with a random DF group for Aetherochemical without a tank and we cleared the place using Titan egi. Wasn't at all easy but man was that quite an accomplishment for us xD

I guess I like the idea of this, but if it doesn't work on boss mobs, why would summoners even have a particular reason to want to use it now? It's not like most dungeon mobs don't just die within like one dot duration anyway. You'd be better off using garuda for the higher aoe dps at that point instead of trusting titan to not eat shit in ten seconds.
